Introduction:

"LyLaD is a role-playing game created in RPGmaker MZ.

Fetishistic elements of weight gain, obesity, overeating, forcefeeding, burping, hypnosis, and loss of control are heavily integrated into the game both narratively and mechanically.

The Player takes control of the protagonist, Lilya, deciding her initial attributes, her strengths and weaknesses, then having to guide her through the bizarre perils of the Land of Dreams.

Gameplay consists of exploring maps, fighting enemies in turn-based combat, dungeon-crawling, solving puzzles and dealing with obstacles and traps, leveling up, allocating skill points and choosing perks, and making choices that influence the story and its characters.

Through the Player's many victories and failures, Lilya's fall from grace is naturally woven. Whether the Player attempts to resist this or welcomes it only determines how quickly it will come."

The game is, admittedly, an RPG first and foremost and a fetish game second. However, these two parts are deeply intertwined to the extent that fetish elements couldn't be removed without drastically altering game balance. The object of the game is neither to get fat or to stay thin, but to reach the ending. Being fat does have negative effects, but it is also largely inevitable, and being too careful can waste precious time, which is its own commodity in the game. You can challenge yourself to stay thin, and be entertained when you fail, or try to get as fat as you can and see what endings that gets you. My goal is to accommodate the way people tend to approach fetish games while not shying away from my own vision, which may not line up with everyone's ideal.

WG in the game is generally slow-paced. Sometimes it can come in large bursts from losing in combat or using certain items. There are short bad endings (and some good endings) that will have their own scene(s) encapsulating their own WG scenarios with different twists. Not all scenes will be illustrated. There will be a significant amount of written portions, and the writing will be a focus throughout the game in general. During combat, dialogue, and when using a mirror however, there will always be a sprite on screen to represent Lilya at her current weight, also reflecting any statuses or emotions she has.

Currently there are no art assets for the upper limit of in-game WG, but you can expect to see the full range of sizes I usually draw. There are expected to be at most eight weight 'tiers', or stages, used in all of Lilya's depictions.

There are no overworld sprites, and instead traversing the world is done by selecting where to go with a cursor on a hand-drawn map. This allows for more room to make art assets for combat, fetish scenes, etc. rather than pouring my efforts into animating small sprites, their weight variants, and creating map tiles. This kind of map system is based on the RPGmaker game Ruina: Fairy Tale of the Forgotten Ruins. You can play that to get an idea of what my game will feel like (besides the fetish stuff).

Watched all the vids and looked at the key art, this honestly looks really good! Based off of what you've shown us of you're writing as well, I'm excited to see where this goes. The way you're wording a lot of the gameplay concepts makes me pretty excited as well. Hope this gets the attention it deserves!

I think there's huge merit in having the gain be inevitable. Too often in these fetish games, having the gain be a gameplay variable either makes players counterproductively avoid it to do well or ignore the gameplay entirely to max out on size. Spacing it out over the course of the narrative, a la Some Bullshit, seems to me the best way to satisfy everyone. Very excited for this.

Very interested, I loved your Elaina story so anything to get more writing from you will be awesome. I will say be careful balancing deeper gameplay with fetish aspects, not that it can't be done but focusing more on one will make the other suffer, at least when looking at the project as a whole if that makes sense.
