Hi!

Happy FRIDAY. YEAH WEEKEND!! 

Thought I'd drop some Stray Kids for all you Stays out there. But before we get into the reaction, I just have to say that we may have one of the most all time funniest bits ever in the intro. Dumb funny maybe. All I'll say is the while editing this one, I could NOT stop laughing. I hope you get a kick out of it too!! 

Few thoughts on this SKZ run:

  • I hate clowns
  • the Sand Man wasn't great either
  • the song is a banger though
  • the cinematography in Megaverse is insane
  • also Felix can rap count in French to me anytime
  • watching the guys warm up in The First Take is probs one of my new favorites
  • the song is BEAUTIFUL ... I really like their b-sides
  • fuzzy berets all the way
  • that Never Ending Story is different than the other Never Ender Story that I know of but I like it

These are all my thoughts. I'm pretty sure Allison would agree. Anyways, enjoy the vid!! And have a great weekend!!

So the guy at the end of Megaverse is Tablo who is a member of Epik High a Korean Hip Hop group. We are assuming this is an announcement of a collaboration. Tablo and his wife who is an actress have both said before that them and their daughter are big fans of Stray Kids and the collect all of their albums and merch.

Also, if you guys like their more sentimental side, you should definitely listen to some of their solo songs. I recommend Han's "Volcano", Changbin's "Streetlight", Chan's "Hate to Admit", and Felix's "Deep End".

I think I've mentioned before, but if you want to be blown away by their visuals .. Watch BLUEPRINT. Literally EVERY SINGLE PAUSE MOMENT IN THAT VIDEO IS A POSTER OF BREATHTAKING BEAUTY. The color grading makes me so happy. Also, The First Take of "SCARS" is one of my favorite things in this world. That song is unbelievably beautiful, haunting, and somehow encouraging in the middle of the struggle. Their b-sides are so lovely. They are known for such bombastic big sounds, but the b sides really come for you and hit you in the feels. Oh and you need to experience YOUR EYES. It's a right of passage for all Baby Stays. You've already done Red Lights, so you know the dangerous side of the guys. YOUR EYES will assault you with warm fuzzies.

I haven't listened to much of their discography but "Deep End" was one I had heard, and I was in tears. I had no idea Felix had such range vocally, he sounded beautiful

Thank you for the post, Stray Kids is a group whose music is still quite unfamiliar to me. Though I have seen some of their mv's from the last year or so, and I find them visually amazing. I also noticed outside of RM, Suga and J-Hope, that Changbin & Han are amazing rappers. Their cadence and flow is quite nice and does not seem forced (placed upon them) but exudes naturally gifted. Laslty I also appreciate that Chan, Bin, and Han produce much of the music.

Bombastic big sounds for sure are how I think of them ... the b-sides are very surprising and I like them! Added both BLUEPRINT, Scars First Take, and YOUR EYES to the Patreon Wish List. Hopefully we'll get to it soon! Somehow we keep knocking out content but then the list keeps growing ?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for the recs!! Sorry the reply is coming so delayed ... been a busy month!!

You and me both! I'm learning more about them as we go along too ... def talented rappers and producers!! But I'm pleasantly surprised by their b-sides. I just really liked the stripped down performance here and the softer side of their music. ☺️☺️

I absolutely LOVE Epik High!! I saw them in concert here in LA last April and it was so good!! I hope there's a collab coming in the future. That would be amazing! I'm adding those solos onto the Patreon Request Playlist. I've already started a Playlist for SVT solos, might as well make one for SKZ. It'd be fun to just binge those as a whole sometime!! Thanks for the recs and for watching :)
