** AESPA TAKE TWO: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO **

Hello!

Hope y'all are making the most of the very last bits of 2023!! I still can't believe the year went by so fast ... like what?!

Just wanted to drop this reaction video for y'all. We've been venturing out and checking out a few different groups to see which ones click. And I heard that "Drama" was nominated for a few awards so I had to see what that was about. And well, apparently SVT loves to dance along to Next Level whenever they have a chance so I had to bring that into the mix for Allison.

Please forgive me for not doing my due diligence and brushing up on my Aespa knowledge before this video. But that's where the comments really come in clutch. So if you know anything about the girlies, please let us know! And/or if you want us to check out a few more of their songs, feel free to leave them in the comments and I'll add it to the playlist for when we get back.

Anyways, "Better Things" was my favorite out of the mix. The look, the feel of the song. The entire production design and the art direction - big fan. What do y'all think?

I am with you Jo, "Better Things" is my fav as well...although Drama is growing on me, but that is mainly due to NingNing's vocals and the choreo. I will say it took me some time to get into them, I just was not really connecting to their music but I knew the ladies were talented. Vocally NingNing has one of my favorite voices for 4th Gen in KPOP and Winter, I feel like when she breaks out of her shell will be a vocal force to be reckoned with. She gives a bit more vocal color in the SM collab song "Priority" , which you should definitely listen to when you have a chance. Great song, with amazing vocals from Max Chanbin(TVXQ) & Tayeon from Girls Generation (sorry if i butchered the spelling). Also thank you for posting this reaction, it is always fun to see new groups, new music being explored. Hope you both are getting some good rest this Holiday season.

I added "Priority" to the Patreon Request List ... we'll see if we can get around to it! We posted the YouTube version of this video last week and people are coming in strong for Aespa. So we might end up doing an Album Listen. I really liked "Better Things" so if they have more music like that, I'd totally be done to check out more! Sometimes it's harder on our numbers when we check out new groups but the world of k-pop is vast and it's worth dipping around a little to see what's out there!! You can't tell what you like if you don't try em out a little. It helps though to have you guys steer us in the right direction!!

Actually Better Things was quite the departure at least from what I have heard, so I hope they revisit the style again in the future because they vocally shine on such songs.
