Heyo! 

Hope everyone is doing well. I was really debating on which video to post next because ... drumroll ... I have a LOT of videos on deck for you guys!! 

Like literally, we have all the posts ready to go for the rest of the month and I feel so excited to share it with you all! They're all coming at you out of filming order but this way you get sprinkles of docuseries / MV's / variety shows / album listens throughout. 

And I just wanted to get this one out to you because we love SVT and these four performance team members BLOW US AWAY with their dance moves! Seriously dance is so beautiful and how they move and choreograph things is insane. I know everyone has their different areas of creativity but this one still blows me away. 

Anyways. Super Long Guide that doesn't feel super long because it's super interesting. Only one more left! We'll probably do the Vocal Team Guide this weekend when we film. But yeah, they're so good. I'm so excited to get to know more about them and their music and their creative process. 

And once we're done with this we can start Going Seventeen!!

get ready for vocal unit 😭 i love all seventeen units but vocal unit makes me sob because of their voices lol

I adore and bias the whole performance line, but Dino and Hoshi are ULTs within SEVENTEEN for me. I love them so much. The vocal guide might destroy you. It is unfair the level of talent on this team, and the vocal unit is overflows with it. Starting off with Woozi and then ENDING with the back to back of DK and Seungkwan is just a buffet of riches. For me, PERSONALLY, Boo Seungkwan has my ult voice on the team, but I adore DK so much. Honestly, they're probably tied but they have such different styles. DK has so much power and Boo has such vulnerability. I like the fragility in Seungkwan's voice and love the richness and tone of DK. BUT THIS is a Performance team video =P You really should watch their solos, ESPECIALLY HOSHI's SPIDER with the behind the scenes/performance video and the MV. It is breathtaking. LIMBO and PSYCHO from Jun are insanely good. Altho Jun is shirtless for most of Psycho and that was a little....um....distracting lol. Dino's WAIT is gorgeous. He leans into hip hop and street dance so much but he's so lyrical with his body. I love when he does the dance challenges with his parents =P It's sweet that his dad is a dancer/dance teacher so seeing him support his son in that way is endearing. The8 reminds me of J-Hope in a lot of ways. Not so much in style of dance, but in the way that the music just seems to come from WITHIN them when they dance. It lives in their genes. The unit stages of I Don't UNDERSTAND But I LOVE You and WAVE are not to be missed as well. If you can find a video that includeds HIGHLIGHT going into IDUBILY (I think you will see it at the Movie anyway) but it is insanely good. I think I barely breathed through that part of the concert. The Performance team always DESTROYS me when they're on stage. Really looking forward to your take on the Vocal guide <3 Love that you are enjoying SEVENTEEN as much as we do <3 Excited to be on this journey with you!

All of Seventeen is quite amazing, but I will say Performance Team always seems to wind up surprising me. I absolutely love their unit songs, and so far the solos that have come out of Seventeen, Hoshi's "Spider" and Dino's "Wait" have been my favs! They really are a line of all rounders...I mean really all of Seventeen are.

I loved watching "So You Think You Can Dance Too", I was obsessed with it, and my mom and I used to watch Ballroom Dance Competitions on KQED too, dance is just an amazing artform. I definitely think this is why Seventeen is such a special group for me, they truly encompass all that I love regarding performing arts...I love that their choreography tells a story and is just as deep with it's significance of the movements as the lyrics. Lastly I'd just like to say about Hao & Jun, I love Minghao's take on the idol & fan relationship and how he openly speaks on it. I honestly wish more idols would speak to it, maybe some fans would not fee like they own these idols, and treat them like objects instead of human beings...Jun is actually so well rounded and has such a beautiful range with his vocals. The Rolling Stone video of their remix of Lilli Yabbay, he is holding down a lot of the lower notes. He tends to sing higher within Seventeen but in his solo works, singing in his home language he sings a lot lower and it sounds so good. Performance Team solos are definitely worth checking out!

I love love love that this guide breaks it down by units. This episode really made me appreciate the members more and honestly, it just reminded me how much I LOVE dance. Like seriously - such a beautiful form of art!! I'm going to add their solos onto our growing playlist of Patreon requests. We're going to try to knock some out sometime!! Idk if I can handle a shirtless Jun. Omo I can't wait for the movie concert this weekend. Literally in a room full of CARATs screamiing at the top of lungs at these boys ... ahhhh can't wait!! We still have to make time for the vocal unit and I might die seeing Joshua's pretty eyes and Woozi pure genius and Seungkwan's beautiful soul. Of course DK and Jeonghan too - they're all so good!!

Litearlly I was hooked on SYTYCD!! Ugh I love dance so much - so beautiful!! But SVT is just something else with their choreo and straight up synchronicity. It's like creative and unique but also musical theater-ish but high intensity and sometimes borders on sexy/sensual. Like seriously, VERNON'S HIPS. But these guys, the performance team, they make it seem so effortless. Ugh. I love how this guide really spotlight each member because sometimes it's easy to get lost in a group of 13 (especially when they move like one). But wow, I just appreciate them so much more now!

I completely agree, I revisit their dance practice videos because they are just so good! And yes the first time I watched "Fear" I believe my mouth was agape the whole entire time! What is crazy is I read in a comment that the song at the time was not popular with a lot of the fandom and they received a lot of flack from netizens who thought they had strayed too far from their "happy" sound. They felt fear was too dark. Crazy because though very different from what they had done before the song was very well produced, and the lyrics quite deep...the visuals & choreo were just the icing on the cake. Actually the whole album is one of their best works I believe.
