HIya!

Happy Friday. So here's the next reaction for you - a little bit more ATEEZ! Yooooo - I'm not going to lie. We're really liking them so far. I mean, Allison is REALLY into them. I'm really liking their songs - such jams. Especially Answer, I'm really liking that one!

I still have no idea what's going on in the MV's. Apparently there's a storyline going through the videos and in true k-pop fashion, they've built out a universe. And well, color us confused. But also intrigued.

We've gotten western outlaws and boxers and motorcycle racers and dystopian futuristic people and very well dressed time travelers. AND VAMPIRES?!

Omg. Jo + Allison loves them a good vampire. Mix k-pop and vampires together and you got yourself something AMAZING.

Anyways. Two MV's. A vampire performance video. And a Variety Magazine interview. UM, HELLO MINGI IN THOSE GLASSES. Kill me now.

My threshold for male k-pop idols in glasses is hitting a whole new high. I just have to say.

Anyways, enjoy the video! GAME CATERERS X SVT up next!

Hooooooo boy, the Ateez lore. Strap in cuz it's cray-cray. To preface: I'm gonna try to explain it as best as I understand it, but we've never gotten a straight answer out of them as to what specifically is happening. Basically: There are alternate dimensions (at least 3, possibly 4? I think?). One of the main ones is a place called Strictland, a dystopia where human emotions and all things that elicit them like art and music are banned. If you've ever seen the movie Equilibrium, it is pretty much the same. The version of Ateez in this world are a group of revolutionaries known as the Black Hat Pirates (usually referred to as the Halateez). The thing at the end of the Answer video with the mask is an Android Guardian, the things that run Strictland and are trying to catch the Halateez. When we come into the story, Yeosang has been captured and the other Halateez scattered so Hongjoong uses the Chromer, an hourglass that let's them travel through time and space, to find alternate versions of themselves to try again where they failed. The Treasure albums go back and forth between this world and the other main one. Enter the Pirateez (that's what I call them anyway) this is the "regular" version of Ateez. They were all friends when they were younger but drifted apart due to various traumas and issues. When this Hongjoong gets the Chromer, he gathers his old friends together in the hopes that they can change their circumstances. They find a flying pirate ship which they use to travel time, but the Android Guardians are after them too and they also get separated for a time and lose both their ship and the Chromer. The Fever albums follow this story. The Pirateez find an alternate Chromer in another world and get back together to go back to Strictland which is where we are now for The World albums. Time to take down the government! If you look closely at the end in the Bouncy video, you see an Android Guardian flash in the building they blow up. Halazia takes place in yet another, separate universe where the Halateez failed and everything fell into ruin. The big balls in the sky mess with the gravity. The "hala" is a reference to their song Hala Hala which stands for "hearts awakened, live alive". So basically the versions of them in this world are asking the Halateez to come save them but then they realize they have to save themselves. I'm still not 100% on the 4 creepy "witnesses" tho. So that is my understanding. TL;DR, I know. Lol. People can feel free to correct me if i got anything wrong cuz i feel like we're all just guessing out here. Haha. There is a YouTube channel called eterniteez that does whole video breakdowns on each album cycle. And I'd also recommend the Ultimate Guide to Ateez by ofallthekennys for basic info and member profiles!

Aaaggghh. I've am about ready to buy you a new camera or camera battery..... It cut out at the wrong time, when Allison was reaction to my bias Hongjoong.. the captain... A subunit referred to as the demon line is Hongjoong, San, and Seonghwa because of their facial expressions!

Ahhhhh I know bah!!! I felt so bad about that too while I was editing 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I looked into all the things about this Canon G7 and it maxes out at 25 minutes. And I have four batteries that are fully charged whenever we start filming. I need to remember to swap them out in between reaction videos. I have a Canon DSLR that I use for my professional shoots but I haven’t used it for the reaction videos. The problem with that one is that the screen doesn’t flip over and I can’t see it if that one stops recording. Maybe I should just get an intern and they can do all this so it doesn’t miss any reaction at all. Or maybe there’s a Bluetooth way of making it re-record while I’m sitting so it’s like super quick? Idk. I’ll look into it again today! Sorry for my fault. I bow my head down again. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤍🤍

Oh wow!! I love this deep dive breakdown sitch here! Ima have to give it to Allison to take in bc it’s a little too long for me to read. She can summarize it for me later! But thank you SO MUCH for this! Looks like Ateez legit made a whole universe around their storyline. It’s so intriguing!
