Alrighty folks! Here it is - our BLACKPINK Concert Vlog!

You don't understand the journey it took to just get here. Inside the stadium! Inside to see the girlies!!

To recap:

  • last summer I tried to get presale codes for the November 2022 show, FAILED
  • decided to go to the venue the night of the November show and buy tix last minute, FAILED
  • stood outside the venue listening to BLACKPINK like two sad girls and left depressed
  • BP did Coachella and announced an encore show in August
  • got presale codes, got tix, GOT INSIDE
  • had the time of our lives

So yeah. That pretty much sums it up.

I wouldn't consider myself the hugest BLINK but dude, once the music started I think we both lost control of ourselves. Literally, all their songs are SO GOOD. Like bangers. It's like, yeah duh, they're huge for a reason.

They did amazing. Our seats were amazing. Everything was so pink it's crazy. They are amazing entertainers.

I do have to say they seemed a little sad at the end and it's hard to not acknowledge the fact that we don't know what's happening with their contracts. Not sure if they'll still be around after their Seoul concerts. But I'm so glad I got to see them when I did. Like actually see them. In the building.

Anyways, enjoy the vlog!

PS - I added footage of us outside the venue from the November show so you can see what it was like for us. Just because. We were distraught a little but eventually we made up for it nine months later :)

You ladies look great and look to have had a ball! I can only imagine how intense and laboring it was to get tix, I am not looking forward to how hectic it is going to be if & when 17 comes back to LA. Anyhoo glad you ladies had a ball, I am not a Blink but I do enjoy their music, they really do have some bops!

Btw love what you said about KPOP and KDramas, I could not agree with you more! This is probably why I watch majority K movies and dramas.

Omg we did have a blast! I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest BLINK but when that music started - I was a goner! Just straight bangers in a row!! The whole process of getting k-Pop concert tickets has been like boot camp for me! After two BTS shows and the Agust D show and the BLACKPINK shows - I’ve only successfully secured presale codes for two of those concerts (five concert attempts). It’s like the equivalent of having to do your taxes with all the rules and stuff just to get the codes. And then when you get in the queue to buy tix, it’s a frickin blood bath. Or if that’s sold out you have to pay an arm and a leg for nosebleed seats … but when you’re at the concert in the middle of a sea of light sticks with thousands of people singing in a diff language - so worth it! Anyways, all that to say - we loved it. They were amazing. Still BTS was the best concert I’ve ever been to but BP is close up there. If SVT ever comes to LA, I’m ALL OVER THAT.

I know right!! It’s something that Elaine and I used to talk about too - kdramas just seem to have a more healing effect and without all that garbage western television has. Ever since I started watching Korean entertainment early in the pandemic, I just really shifted to only that for the most part. And I love it. Plus as a creative director/art producer, Allison as a film director, and Elaine as a sync singer/songwriter - watching great television is inspirational. And it makes us better storytellers. And I love that about it.
