HIYA! Happy Saturday.

Hope everyone is doing well ... just wanted to get this new post up for you. Solo round, this time me. I apologize in advance for all the times that I am extremely awkward by myself. After having done this channel for almost two years with a co-host of some sort, it's so weird to just talk to the camera. Technically I'm talking to you guys but it just feels sooooo weird. I know I'll get used to it eventually. But hey, here we go.

Episode One of "The World Is My Oyster" - the docuseries about LE SSERAFIM's debut. Which btw, having reacted to this pre-Coachella and pre-HYBEvsADOR situations, makes for a very interesting viewing both ways.

I've been a huge fan of LS ever since we checked them out on the channel. I just really dig their vibe and their sound and their style. But to see how they got negative feedback after Coachella and then to be pretty much scapegoated during the MHJ thing. It's just a lot. I feel bad for the girlies. For both LE SSERAFIM and NEWJEANS!

One just did Coachella. The other is having a comeback soon. And their names are getting tossed around everywhere. And poor ILLIT just debuted and they're going through it too.

It's a little disheartening to watch ... anyways, I could legit talk a podcast around all that but I'm not going to. Instead, I'll leave you with this vid and hope we all remember that they all had humble beginnings. And that they're people too.

I'm cheering for them. And I'm hoping & praying that both girl groups get the comfort and strength that they need to get through this month.

Ok that's it for now. Enjoy the vid!

You did good Jo! This was my first time watching an episode through as these types of shows get me really emotional also. As a creative also who has auditioned, screen tested and then not made the final casting, I know the disappointment when you've worked so hard, and it is what you love and either you don't make the cut or you do make it but the guarantee of debut is still unknown. But what I have experienced still does not compare to the immense hard work these girls put in, often without good sleep, and on strict diets that seem just shy of starvation and much more. It is quite sad regarding all the hate they are getting right now and like you I have a lot of thoughts regarding it, but I'll save that for our next outing.;-)

Ahhhh I felt so awkward! I know it'll get easier over time but I'll get there eventually. I totally get you about the whole creative / auditioning / emotional / casting / putting your hopes in things deal. It's a lot and it resonates and all the empathy too. It's comforting to know that these five girls do make it, they do debut, and they do very well for themselves. Minus all the craziness that's been happening the last month or so. But I'm proud of them overall. Plus, watching this docuseries gives me a better idea of the concept and the heart behind the group. I really like LE SSERAFIM and I'm hoping this current situation will only make them better and stronger.
