Regarding Beerus “taking” half. It’s actually pretty common to use “take” like that without meaning to “give it to yourself or someone/something else. Like I’m “taking your life” (first one I could think of)…

It's always interesting seeing the guesswork you guys have in the early going. The good news is you won't have to wait long for some exposition on Beerus. Although the Dragonball Lore is a whole lot bigger than implied in Z, and it'll get revealed piece by piece. Unfortunately, the next few episodes also see a bit drop off in animation quality for a lot of key moments (watch out for Videl's magically disappearing and re-appearing leggings). Which is probably why some folks suggested watching Battle of the Gods, as the movie covers the events of the next several episodes, at much higher animation quality.

yup we all recommended them to watch super in pieces and then watch the movies. It's certainly the best experience, also they will get the views on youtube watching the movie because dragon ball movies do very well on youtube and battle of gods is deeply loved. I get so sad when an episode reaction ends lol and i absolutely love vegeta on vacation lol

Can’t wait for the movie, that’s next. While it’s hard to remember, the Saiyan God only candidates aren’t just Goku and Vegeta. It can include their children. Just a thought. Considering how the series continues, there are many twist and turns to come.

yeah we wanted to start with the first two episodes for setup. Then the movie and then some more context episodes and the next movie. Then from 28 on we just watch the episodes 😃
