To expand on @REDE's comment the events of Dragon Ball Super take place during the same 10 year time jump that happens in the last episodes or at least rather close to it. The events of the last 2 episodes are more closely related to the events of Dragon Ball GT which was made by Toei Animation and not by Akira Toriyama who wrote the original story for DBZ so most consider it non-canon because of a certain girl character.

I love this episode because it shows Goku is a protector. That's why he got flashbacks of his grandpa Gohan and even named his son Gohan. Protecting the eggs is literally something Grandpa Gohan taught him about life. Goku is a protector <3 & vegeta gave buu a hotdog i forgot about! so adorable lol
