The kids’ game jokes don’t always land for me, but I genuinely enjoy the idea of poetry as the magic trigger in a game where the more complex passages translate to stronger, more impressive spells.

Episode 16 has good elements in it, even if dragged out at times. but man, you're gonna love episode 17.

Hey, so while I love SAO abridged, I can't recommend SAO proper to you for the same reasons. if you finish SAO abridged and want to know what happens next, maybe wait until the next episodes of sao abridged come out, cause sao proper is written extremely poorly with many plotpoints and moments in bad taste that SWE had to change to fit a better story

Duno if you guys caught it or not since you didn't mention it afterwards, but the whole thing with the Spriggans is basically the first group of friends who started this mess had a guy who named himself after Kirito (since he's kind of famous after the whole SAO Incident, and the Spriggans typically wear all black which Kirito was known for too), and then everyone else copied him. They were an entire playerbase of people named Kirito, roleplaying as Kirito, who then got wiped out during the "Race War." This is also why Kiritos name was taken when he tried to log in. All the other variants were taken by his dopplegangers.

Something everyone seems to agree on is that SWE messing around with characters eyes just adds so much to the scene. Next Episode is something special, so I can't wait for that. I personally recommend Final Fantasy 7 Machinabridged for the future, it's just SO good!
