I think the reason they didn't try to get Qrow medical attention earlier is two-fold: a) He said he just got grazed - it didn't look like a puncture wound. b) They're so used to Aura healing everything, they didn't think about the possibility of poison. Now, one question that needs to be asked - if Qrow's Semblance is bad luck... how did he turn into a crow? From everything we've learned thus far, only the Maidens can do magic, and Qrow is clearly not a Maiden.
