Its a Yoda Arc time. Sadly there isnt a what if series there may possibly be one in the future because of some thing important that is introduced in Star Wars Rebels called "The World Between Worlds" but most star wars fans are against it i think sadly

I'm surprised you guys didn't know that becoming a force ghost wasn't really a thing nor common knowledge to the Jedi with the technique being lost to time over the millennia, which is why Yoda had to teach Obi-Wan in Ep 3. It was common sense/knowledge to the Jedi that death was the end and part of life, by dying you become one with the force. This was taught/believed and emphasized by the Jedi Order throughout the series. Qui-Gon Jinn only recently rediscovered it. I also found your perspective of associating "naysaying" to Ki-Adi-Mundi interesting. I always personally saw Obi-Wan Kenobi as the "naysayer" character wise within the Star Wars universe since he's historically been known to be realistic and "snobby" in contrast to Anakin and more optimistic characters. He's just been established as that type of chr a "debby downer" due to his intelligence but maybe you two never noticed during the movies and TV shows because you guys love Obi Wan too much LOL.
