This video was too relatable as a DM. Theres also a perfect example of this happening today in my session. My DM had us fighting a landshark that she thought we could beat easily but the monster ended up killing in my character which was a huge shock. Just like how Vex died in episode 3 of Vox Machina, the character death came out of nowhere. However the DM adapted and made us finish off the monster before sending my character off with a saddening but heartfelt farewell
