League of Legends Jhin

This is generally considered one of, if not the best designed champions in League of Legends, in terms of design, voice acting and in game mechanics. It's no surprise a lot of people want him to make an appearance in Arcane.

So glad you guys reacted to Jhin, he has been my favourite champion ever since his release because his lore, style, and gameplay all mesh so well together and is quite unique compared to the other champions of the same quality (in terms of lore, style, gameplay). Incidentally, his gun's name is "Whisper" which Jhin acknowledges is ironic in-game. In game, Jhin also has only four bullets he can shoot before he has to reload which further plays into his obsessive-compulsiveness that nekrit touched on (and also ties into his musical/theatrical background). No one knows what Jhin actually looks like, they have teased that they would reveal his face so many times at this point that it's almost a meme, so it's unclear one way or the other if he has some type of disfigurement but the large protrusion on his shoulder isn't actually a deformity, it's sort of a 'generator' that he attaches his gun to if he needs to fire more powerful shots (in the game this is his ultimate ability). There were a couple things that got slightly glossed over in nekrit's video because some of the lore that was initially public for jhin seems to have been taken down by riot - possibly because they intend to change it or just to enhance the mystery of jhin's lore, I'm not sure. So the following may not necessarily be canon anymore, but at least was part of his lore at one point: 1) He has control over magic, not necessarily to the extent of the more well-known mages, but he has an aptitude for it; 2) He uses his magic to create illusions for himself through his mask and to empower his bullets. So what he's seeing during his "performances" is far more beautiful than it looks to any other onlookers. I think you may have already seen the Jhin teaser video but it's a good representation of what he sees https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-BgDEy2AE I liked the comparison you guys made to the trickster from DBD because they both have some VERY similar motivations and detachments from reality that drive them to create their 'art'. Sorry for the rant, and I hope any of this info was helpful or entertaining for you two! :)

Info was very helpful! Thanks for letting us know more that wasn't covered in Nekrits video. Do they cover how Jhin gained control over magic? 🤔

The design of Jhin is very well done for sure. A fascinating character that we would love to see in Arcane or another show if Riot decides to do more outside of just Arcane for League. 🙂
