Androids have such a different level of... What's the word... Urgency? On Namek it was a race against time, everyone scrambling to get the Dragon Balls as quickly as possible. It was hectic, it was frantic. Then we get to Android 17 and 18, who are so casual and laidback about their mission to kill Goku that they go out of their way to steal a van in the middle of nowhere to just drive to Goku's house because it is more entertaining than flying. To make matters worse, Goku himself lives in the middle of nowhere. So not only do they have to drive to the most distant town from where they are, but the Androids have to drive through forests and up into a mountain range just to get to Goku, who as we saw, is already being moved to Kame House... Which is even *further* from the Androids. But on the other hand, they don't seem to be killing anyone, just being obnoxious while making their way along. This is why that viewing of History of Trunks might lead to a skewed perception of the Androids, because... In this timeline, at least so far, in the actual series they are just chill siblings with all the power in the world and nothing to do with it. They're only killing Goku because... I mean, it's something to do? The whole thing's just a huge tone flip from Season 2.

Hi Ken and Bethany, I HIGHLY recommend watching the episodes with the subtitles TFS wrote - they throw side jokes and additional commentary in there as a way to add further context on what's referenced in the actual show or in their previous episodes. It makes the watching experience 10x better! Note: this recommendation is definitely not definitive.

I'm certain the community will help you make the leap from Abridge to DBZ. Do you guys know how to do full perfectly legal reactions to go alongside your edited reactions for your Patreon?

NO! The subtitles ruin jokes by coming on too soon. Subtitles are good for the second time around. Not first.
