Finally checking out this video that we've been told is a really great intro to One Piece. Now that we've seen the live action, this video got us hyped for what's to come and all the different worlds we could see.

For the record, not every shot in this video comes from the manga/anime's material (uses shots from movies), but I really wonder how the live action will be able to portray future locations and characters. Villains like Buggy, Kuro, and Arlong feel so tame compared to what later arcs bring. So many outlandish and bombastic designs.

Honestly I feel like the show should stop before all that, the first half isnt so bad but it definitely gets super outlandish in the second half and I dont think theyll be able to portray it all without cutting important things due to the difficulty of getting it right in the live action format that I just feel they should leave it at a certain point and just let people watch the anime from there. But Oda is in charge so well just have to see what he cooks up

Funny how you guys mentioned how some of the designs of the islands are callbacks to our childhood because that's how creative Oda is, in fact so creative that the character designs of some characters are based off of real life people we know (one in particular is based off Eminem!). This guy is a mad genius and it's no wonder he's able to create a series that has gone on for over 25 years
