I'm so fucking ready. So there's a slight editing error when you first see Sasuke. His Rinnegan doesn't ever turn off like a Sharingan. So, that's an error in the movie. This was The Last of Naruto's adventures. Next up Boruto. The scarf was a metaphor for the Red Thread Theory. Basically everyone is connected to another by a red thread.

Amazing reaction guys!

I think Naruto never directly killed anyone in the show. Naruto defeated Kakuzu but Kakashi got the killing blow, defeated Pain but sacrificed himself. Didn’t kill Kaguya, only sealed her.

Regarding Sasuke and why he only has a cameo in this movie is because he went on a "spiritual journey" to the other villages as a wanderer to learn more about the world and to atone for his mistakes at the end of the show( Kakashi pardoned him after becoming Hokage),Orochimaru even travelled with him( yes Orochimaru was allowed to roam free even after all he did, because he helped revive the previous Hokage 's who were a huge help during the war).

This movie put more emphasis on the Byakugan eyes compared to the series, the eyes allow the user( the Hyuga clan) to see far far distances and gives them an enhanced vision, even making a person's chakra points become visible,It is a relative to the Sharingan( Uchiha clan's eyes) and the Rinnegan( the eyes of Nagato/Pain and the Sage of six paths), all these eyes are descended from the Otsusuki Clan, that's the backdrop for why the villain wanted them so bad in more simple terms.

Hey, so are they no longer reacting to the cutscenes of the game? They still have Boruto's expansion DLC left

definitelynotdefinitive

We are doing the Boruto expansion, but doing this movie and Boruto movie first before going back to the cutscenes of the game 😅

After the war Sasuke was imprisoned for a short time and then Kakashi became Hokage. Once Kakashi became Hokage he along with Naruto's help officially pardoned Sasuke for his crimes and he was then released to which he stated he would go on a journey to rediscover himself much to Sakura's sadness. Sakura then asked Sasuke if she could go along with him to which he says this is a journey of atonement which has nothing to do with her and something he must do alone; Sakura then proceeds to sulk leading to Sasuke giving her the same forehead tap that Itachi would give him in his youth which is a gesture meaning love. Sasuke told her the next time he returned he'd take her along for the next journey. Some years later out of respect for Naruto's other friends and upperclass people attending his wedding, Sasuke opted not to come so as not to make the situation uncomfortable for the other people that may still hold grudges against him but in the anime he sent a note of congratulations to Sakura on both of their behalf since they're an item despite being apart for the time being.

That's coming next once they get back to the Naruto game cutscenes.

Y'all are cooking with these reactions!! I think this movie was also made because the series put less emphasis on the romance between Naruto and Hinata (in the younger series there was a bit of connection between the two, but nothing substantial). The series overall was focused on Naruto and Sasuke's converging, diverging, and eventually converging journeys, and so some characters (like Hinata) didn't get too much attention, which is what this movie perhaps was trying to correct. Y'all are gonna love the Boruto movie, looking forwar to that next week!

I'm not sure if you're planning to watch anything after the Boruto movie (there's more cutscenes centering on Boruto from the latest Ultimate Ninja Storm game as someone has already pointed out), but episodes 484 - 500 might be worth checking out. They're the last episodes of Naruto Shippuden and are adaptions of novels that take place after the war but before Boruto, generally around the time of The Last. They help give some extra closure to some characters, like Sasuke for example.

I always thought Toneri could've been a much more interesting character than they left off. He's kind of a parallel to Sasuke; a descendant of one of the original Sages who warped the teachings of his anscestors. If they had leaned into that it would've been perfect imo. Once I realized I was like, oh yeah Naruto's got this, he's done all this before. Great movie, a romance movie isn't what I expected from the end of Naruto either but what a fitting way to end it; with love.

that's Naruto second kiss. Sasuke was his first kiss. Not even a joke.

I am humbly suggesting yall watch the Naruto Anime Openings (Both the original and Shippuden)

"You've never made me a scarf" I literally LOLd while listening at work.

Hinata having a crush on Naruto (and passing out whenever he's near her) has been a recurring thing since the beginning of the series, so I was nice to see them finally get together. There's also an anime episode (1 or 2 I don't remember) of Naruto and Hinata getting married which is good and sad, mostly good tho, we get to see our boi grow up ;)
