Let's go! This is one of my favorite quests in the game. The Traveler is one of the most mysterious characters in the game, which is really intriguing to me since you play as that character. Yet, the player is blind to their history and even what they are. There are numerous theories about the Traveler and it all stems from from how unwilling they are to talk. You might notice in the story, but the Traveler doesn't use their real name, doesn't like to mention they're an alien, doesn't mention their siblings name, doesn't say how old they are (potentially 500 years old), etc. They also accept it when people call them young, yet are incredibly wise (though they are still stupid and brass at times) for a "young" person. Very interesting indeed.

Don't worry, everything you learned here is all new information. This was when we all learned about all this as well. So no, you guys are pretty much where you should be. Although. remember that the first cutscene in the game was of us fighting the Unknown God which is what they referenced here. This according to this new information took place 500 years before the current story. This means that said god defeated us, locked away our power and basically put us in a comatose for 500 years instead of just killing us when they seemingly were strong enough to do so. The plot indeed thickens.

In the game you can read all kinds and books and from them you learn that Khanrei'ah was doing a lot of dangerous experiments and all kinds of things that make it seem like the gods had good reason for doing what the did, obviously what happened is horrible but there's a lot more this story than from Dain's perspective.

you should watch more story quests before moving on to Inazuma especially Zhongli's second story quest.

the siblings travel to different worlds. When they were trying to leave teyvat the unknown god traped them in teyvat. the sibling u dont choose woke up 500 years before the sibling you choose. So ur sibling already had a journey through teyvat those 500 years before you wake up.
