Arguably the best Gaelic Footballer in Ireland at the moment, I regretfully was going to bet on him for the semi final & didn’t then put in great performance against Dublin and was awarded the man of the match, in GAA man of the match award tends to be given to a forward on the winning side rarely a midfield or defender,

Clifford will be the main danger for the Galway defence & the bookies suggest this is Kerry’s game to lose, & I’d agree their well fancied, unless Clifford has a well below par game & doesn’t score 1 or more goals with a few points to his name or Kerry lose the final, on paper Clifford is the likely candidate of being awarded man of the match after 70 mins.

Gerwyn price averaging just over 100 for the tournament & best 2 performances came in the quarter & semi final with averages of 102.37 & 104.64, in his last game he not only took out a 141 checkout but he registered a 9 darter, (a perfect leg)

In his 2 games prior he took at a checkout of 160 & 164, in Van gerwens semi final his highest checkout was only 68 over the 17 legs won which is extremely low for 35 legs of darts played, his doubling was just 17/50 (34%), unless he can raise his game, in his game vs Aspinall MvG had a low checkout also until hitting a 146 in the last leg of the game, and match prior highest was just 85 vs Cullen over 11 legs won, going with form I’d favour Gerwyn price over MvG tonight, if your unable to do match double with your bookie I’d recommend Price Highest checkout as a single, personal preference & best of luck!

He’s had 6 wins in a row and 5 of them over regulation fences and has been improving with each run. Most recently he won over similar trip in a class 2 event in ascot on the bridle in a hands and heals job beating abaya du mathan and thrashing Danny whizzbang rated 119. He seems to love the fences and really attacks them gaining lengths out of his competitors with each fence. He still looks ahead of the handicapper and was only raised 8lbs for his easy win last time out which was by 8 1/2 lengths. I’ve him roughly 10lbs better in the weights so on paper looks likely to be able to make it 7 in a row off a light weight. I never like backing a horse racing over 2 miles after a break and peaches and cream would need to run to the same level as his Punchestown win if not better to upset the selection and I also think he is better suited to longer distance and a bit of give in the ground. Go on chez is still only 6 years old and looks to have plenty more scope for improvement, main concern would be rain is expected in the forecast.
