Originally was looking at Aspinall as a single but has since shortened quite a bit in the exchange since yesterday,

He’d a solid 1st round win 10-5 over Luke Humphries, Asp averaged 96.57, not only did he play impressive all round but the projection of his darts entering the board was extremely accurate, what do I mean by this? basically if he wasn’t scoring a treble or double it would be either side of the wire by millimetres, his opponent James Wade produced 1 of the worst 1st round performances of the tournament, averaging just 85.20, not only had poor trebling percentages but also on his doubles scoring just 10 from 35 attempts, (28.57%).

Aspinall has played Wade 4 times in the past 12 months & Won 3 of the 4 matches, drawing the other.

All 3 games he won was by 3 or more legs and that was in a shorter format, unless Wade drastically improve from his game at the weekend I’d expect Aspinall to progress.

Peter wright despite being ranked world number 1 he’s been hot & cold throughout 2022 form wise, although has came into decent form this month, he won his opening game 10-4 scoring 7 180s & 17 140s, his opponent Krzysztof Ratajski has one of the lowest 180 averages for a top 16 ranked player, there is no surprise to see that in his 1st round game vs bunting he only scored 1 180 in 16 legs played, over this longer format on paper it’s more likely to see wright group together more 180s overall, as Ratajski’s throw is less fluent, they’ve played 11 times in the past & wright won 10 of them matches, you could go with wright win instead of the 180 selection however Ratajski did average a solid 98.43 average in his victory over Bunting.

4:10 Musselburgh- JUNGLE TIME @13/8 (2.63)

This horse and star of lady m are closely related by eddies boy with our selection coming out on top. They were both receiving similar weight off of eddies boy but jungle time got within 4L of him whereas star of lady m was 20L off of eddies boy. I also see him roughly 8lb better than Explicit and he is also receiving 2lb. He only ran 5 days ago but was boxed in and only started going late so I think connections are running so soon as to take advantage of his untouched handicap mark and I think they’ve found a great opportunity with the conditions to suit, There has also been good market support in the exchange.
