On Bet 365 he’s priced at 18/1 however they are only offering 8 places for each way, Paddy power are offering 12 places for each way at 12/1.

Xander Currently priced 4th in the exchange, St.Andrews is a tough links course, although Mcilroy is lined up as the bookies favourite he has struggled to put together 4 consistent rounds to Win a major this year, Xander comes into this tournament after winning the Travellers championship with a score of -19, then backed that up again at the Scottish open last weekend winning there also at a tricky links course,

Main concern would be hasn’t showed his best form at the majors this year, but his 7th career win at the Scottish open May show to boost his confidence heading into St.Andrews which is also located in Scotland, advising 14 places for each way on Sky bet other bookies are offering less.

He was struggling over the flat before taking advantage of a reduced hurdles mark when making all to win a shade cosily, beating Miranda whose rated 145. Solo saxophone looks very capable of conceding weight to Bashful boy having seen his poor last run only 2 weeks ago and he’d need a big turn around today to challenge the selection. Imperial elysian had some good form in the book but hasn’t ran for almost 2 years and would need to run a huge race to overcome that feat. Espoir de teillee has good chase form but hasn’t shown anything over hurdles since his debut win in 2017. The selection has only been raised 3lb for his win and looks to have more improvement left in him.

Xander Schaeffele is the standout pick on form but I think he just lacks the ability when it comes to the majors. Many of the top names don’t have much form coming into this so it’s a tough championship to predict but I like picking a player with a lower controlled ball flight for the British open. Fleetwood has a good record around the open, best of all when 2nd in 2019. Although he lost a bit of form after covid times he is now slowly coming into form again especially with a good 4th in the Scottish open after a poor first round. He’s a top class player who’s coming into form and looks a huge price for his ability. He’s a natural links player and has decent form in the majors.

The advised stake on both mine & harrys golf outright selection is 0.5 points each way, (2 points total combined) please read carefully.

Bleak Horse racing on unless I receive info I won’t be forcing anything for tomorrow, looking forward to the darts world matchplay starting Saturday which I’ll have a bigger outlay for.
