This race last year was won by these connections with top weight and a horse coming back from a chasing season. The exact same is the case for the flying sofa. He was rated 122 over hurdles when he last ran and was running off of a chase mark of 122 at the start of this year. Today he runs off a mark of 110 for his return to hurdles and connections might have found him a perfect opportunity to get his head back in front. On numbers he looks a handful of pounds ahead of the next best and looks well capable of defying top weight. His last win came around here and conditions will suit today. If returning well to hurdles he could run a bold race.

3:05 Fakenham- HIGH TECH @6/4 (1.5pts):

We had backed RATHMACKNEE the last time when diving left on the home straight and throwing the race. The form of that doesn’t match High techs. He has been gradually improving over his 4 hurdles runs and looks to be getting his head in front last time out until

his fall at the last. That step up in trip looked to be ideal and the numbers of that come out better than rathmacknee’s. They are also matched by saligo bay who beat them both over the same trip . He was receiving 12lbs from high tech and just beat him by a whisker when high tech was storming home. Saligo bay then went on the receive only 10lbs from rathmacknee and beat him going away by 5L. The pedigree of High tech is much better and he looks open to even more improvement.

6:00 Ballinrobe- cover bet 3 places CHANGING THE RULES @9/4 (2pts): (UPDATE NON RUNNER VOID BET FULL STAKE / MONEY BACK)

The selection has produced the best form on offer when 5th behind bring on the night rated 140. He then went on to run a very good race when hampered at the second last behind some good sorts. The form of those two runs are much better than that of Dartans previous hurdle runs and it’s going to be very tough for him to concede 8lbs to an improving horse in changing the rules. Outside of these it’s hard to make a case for anyone else. The form of changing the rules looks the best on offer, the trip is ideal, he is improving and unexposed and receiving 8lbs. Harrington knows how to get one ready and place them.
