Harry’s Horse Tips, Monday Horse/ Thread 🏇 (HORSE RELATED ONLY) - PLEASE READ FULL (Patreon)

I personally don’t like the look of todays racing overall Mondays tend to be bleak, although Harry has went with a few today I trust his judgement, my advice would be half the point stakes which he’s advised, personal preference. also a common mistake new members are making is putting all selections together as an accumulator which I don’t recommend, please be realistic & responsible.

1:35 Southwell:

Clear the runway has definitely taken better to chasing when he should’ve made it 2/2 but for a late error however I amn’t sure this step down in trip is ideal, he seems to only get going late on and might be outpaced today. I have this between Minella hub and Across the line. Across the line has had good chase form behind some very useful opposition but looks a bit too exposed, he’s still higher in the ratings than his last win and I amnt sure he’ll get his head in front today. My preference is for Minella hub, he has two very emphatic wins over fences when jumping brilliantly. I have him a few pounds better than his OR and he has improved huge amounts from race to race. I have Across the line and Minella hub very close in ratings with Minella hub slightly ahead but he looks to be open to much more improvement and is less exposed. I think the step down in trip will suit Minella hub as he won in Plumpton last time out which is a stiff track and he should be too good for his competitors today.

3:20 Southwell:

Boombawn should have no problem getting his head in front today. He has by far the best form on offer when 3rd to Jonbon and Good risk at all who are rated 145 and 137 respectively. His last run wasn’t poor but looked as though it was needed, he should strip much fitter today and if reproducing anything like his penultimate run then he should win no problem, also receiving weight is an added bonus. The return to good ground should also be in his favour.

1:45 Wincanton:

Many of these have run against each other, with Eros just losing out to Doyannie and they run off the same weights again today. Eros is also closely matched with Folly gate. Folly gate originally beat Eros on his chasing debut and lost to him next time out however there is a shift in the weights today favouring Folly gate. On the last occasion Folly gate just got headed late on when having Eros off the bridle for a long way so I see this shorter trip being a benefit in favour of Folly gate. Folly gate is also less exposed and looks open to more improvement. Ambion hill looks too high in the ratings for me at the moment before he gets his head in front.

2:20- Wincanton:

I have this race between Electric Annie and Birds of prey. Ballyblack and Guernsey have been running to a good standard but haven’t progressed much between races so my preference is for Electric Annie. She’s quickly developed into a good hurdler winning her last two events by very wide margins and she has progressed nicely between those wins. I have her about 6lbs better than her OR and looks very progressive also receiving 12lbs from the horses mentioned above. The only horse I can see affecting him would be Birds of prey if coming close to his previous form but I amn’t sure he’s there yet and didn’t look as if the extra distance will suit from last times run.

2:55- Wincanton:

I have this race between The Russian doyen and Torpillo. The Russian doyen was previously a good chaser and showed some form of old winning last time out, however he was finally dropped to a winnable mark and has now been raised 7lbs for it, I amn’t sure he’ll be able to handle that raise in the weights as he’s not a progressive horse. My preference is for Torpillo. He has the class in the race being tried in graded company and had to miss last season, his seasonal reappearance was very poor but came on bundles when 2nd last time in Sandown and I have him about 5lbs better than his rating. He is still very unexposed and looks open to plenty of progression.

4:40- Wincanton:

Harlem soul had a good win last time but I see an OR of 117 to be very harsh, I have him rated 106 and a price of 1/1 looks way too short. Lord Cheshire ran a cracking race last time out when rallying very well and the 2nd and 3rd have since gone on to win next time out. He beat Mister marbles that day whos rated 112 and looks a progressive horse. He has Finn lambert a very capable 10lb claimer on board today and is receiving 3lbs from Harlem soul. I think he’ll make it back to back today.

2:30 Plumpton:

I have The flying sofa winning this race. He has raced poorly since back from his break but I don’t think the ground will have helped. He has the standout form and is the class act in the race, with racing again in Plumpton which he loves and on good ground I think this stiff test will be right up his street and he’ll be back to his old self.
