I’ve personally predicted the Winner of this tournament the past 3 years in a row, Netherlands 2018, Scotland 2019, & Wales last year 2020.

Reason as to why I’m going with Wales again to defend their title is World number 1 Gerwyn price is in solid form he won the Hungarian open at the weekend beating Michael smith 8-2 in the final averaging 108.74, also missed double 12 for a 9 darter when the crowd was against him in his opening match 4-2 down, current premier league champion Johnny Clayton is his teammate for Wales, Gerwyn price average across all matches in past 3 months is the 2nd highest in the world with a high 99.32, while Clayton’s is the 7th highest in the world with 97.23 average. For 2021 Gerywn’s Win rate percentage overall is 79.78%, While Clayton’s is also a high 76.58%, as a doubles pair expect them to be tough to beat & likely winners on paper, because Gary Anderson will not participate for Scotland it’s a big upset for them, main danger on Wales side of the draw would be Netherlands Mvg & Dirk, on the opposite side it’s likely to see England reach the finals although Wade & Chisnall have been inconsistent in major events on stage recently.

Chas Barstow has been hot and cold in these groups, won us good profit few months back, group overall winners have thrown up strange results than expected lately, best 2 players participating are Barstow & Burness which the odds suggest, Barstow 2nd last match of the nights come up against Joe Davis who he’s played twice before in this format, most recently meeting March 26th Winning 4-3 & March 25th Won 4-0, Barstow has a slight advantage heading into this match as he is throwing First, Joe Davis has lost 20 of last 30 matches in this format, most recently participating end of June losing 13 out of 18 matches (72%) within 3 days, on paper Barstow is the better player overall and I expect him to win.
