World number 11 Aspinall with a solid 1st round win over Mervyn king averaging 94.59, asp end of May reaching the semi final of the premier league and missing out on the final to a 10-9 loss to jose de Sousa. Consistent floor form this season & faces Gary Anderson who has been hot and cold in recent months, Anderson averaged 94.42 in his opening round vs Bunting winning 10-5, so looking at 1st round matches beetween these players nothing much to go by with the averages, however looking at the h2h statistics Asp has an impressive record agaisnt the Scotsman.

They’ve played 7 times over the past 2 years, Aspinall has won 4, Anderson won 1, & other 2 occasions were a draw, expect a close match tonight but when it comes to finishing doubles Aspinall is more steady in recent months.
