Horse update - 1 of the toughest Saturdays of Horse racing I’ve ever seen after going through the cards last night & this morning there is nothing I’d be confident with on paper, waiting on a text back for potential info. Liking the look of 1 running tomorrow, odds aren’t priced up yet.

World matchplay starting today which is a major darts tournament & is on for 8 days I’ll have fancies for each day, for those who are new darts has been 1 of the most profitable sports for me in the past few years, just over 1 year ago i won 17 bets in a row from Darts selections.

Reasoning:

Members who have been with me past few years will know how profitable it’s been betting on Wattimena low 180s, quite literally thousands of profit, I was expecting the odds to be shorter for Saturday, he has been thrown into this tournament under short notice as Mensur Suljovic has withdrawn due to medical reasons. And Wattimena replacing him, Wattimena comes up against world number 1 Gerwyn price, the world matchplay format in the opening round is 1st to 10 legs, these played each other in the World Grand Prix in October and he scored total of 1 over 10 legs played, the time before that Gerwyn won 7-0 & he scored 2, averaging only 81. The world number 32 is going through a bad run of form recently and on paper should be a comfortable win for Gerwyn price. 1 of the main reasons as to why Wattimena scores low 180s is his throw style pace, very fast and generally misses the last dart for a maximum because he doesn’t use the dart as a marker etc, in the last 3 years I only recall 1 match of his seeing him score 3 or more 180s, every other his count is either 0, 1 or 2. He has the lowest average of 180s scored out of every player ranked in the top 32. Because this match is a major event on stage it also adds extra pressure, unless the match goes distance, on paper it’s unlikely seeing him scoring many.

Reasoning:

World number 10 Jose de Sousa is throwing the best darts of his life recently, impressive debut in the premier league and also won Players championship 14 & 15 back to back 1 month ago, followed up by a semi final run, and 8-7 loss in the final 11 days ago then 2 days after reached another semi final.

Impressive wins over Michael Van gerwen in the final, Johnny Clayton, rob cross, dimitri van de bergh and many more players who consistently averaged 100+, He likely meet Peter Wright on this side of the draw who is also coming into this tournament in decent form, but if Jose can continue his consistent solid form I reckon he will have a good run this week.
