Made all in a 7 furlong Sandown novice on good ground last season, runner up in 2 of 3 starts this campaign and it was a good handicap in which he went down fighting at Chelmsford June 3rd, shouldn’t be far away off an untouched mark, Ryan Moore booking for Sir Michael stoute also a positive.

Reasoning:

15 in the field the Fav is heavily backed from 6/1 into 15/8, race is full of unraced 4 year olds so not much to go by on paper,

Modreeney had a respectable debut back in January, finishing 4th just 1 1/2 length off ‘Hara Kiri’ a 4/11 fav for Willie Mullins & his son which came 3rd. This horse this evening would prefer a bit of rain to suit so maybe worth a market check or look at the forecast closer to the race, on Bet 365 there is an option for ‘each way extra’ which you can add extra places rather than 3, for example 6 places 12/1 & 7 places paying 10/1, less odds but better for your Return on investment, Personal preference. The High stakes gamble on the exchange for the unraced favourite would be worrying, & the unknown of the ground conditions for Modreeney would be a doubt, so not advising points.
