I was going to go through my analysis/prediction for each race at the Curragh today but as most of you know I Hate flat racing in comparison to the hurdles, in saying that I’m really looking forward to Galway next month which I’ll be covering every race for the whole week. The support from everyone has been amazing the past few months and this year, appreciate you all 🤝

Euros Double ⚽️⚽️

Denmark to Qualify - 5pm 🕰

Italy Win - 8pm

Odds 📊 Evens (2.00)

Advising stake 3 points (3% of balance)

Reasoning:

Denmark were very impressive vs Belgium even though they lost, and even better against Russia who they hammered 4-1, although the absence of their best player Christen Eriksen, they really look good going forward and as I said before I don’t rate Wales, I think their overrated, as 1 member said to me without bale their a championship team at best and I agree, on paper looks set to be a cagey affair, no recent h2h’s between these but in 2018 in the Nations league Denmark won both matches agaisnt them with scorelines of 2-1 & 2-0. Originally was going to back them as a straight win single but the comfort of ‘To Qualify’ is more appealing as wouldn’t be surprised if Wales nick a 1-1 draw and we see the match go extra time or penalties.

4/1 (5.00) Fancy ⚽️

Referee has a low card average 3.86 yellows per match, I know that I mentioned him in last match but the Tottenham midfielder for Denmark Pierre Hojberg seems a little bit overpriced at 4/1 to be booked, quite suprised he didn’t pick 1 up in any of the 3 group stage matches, for those that don’t know, he committed the most fouls the recent premier league season overall and is known for being short tempered, my only doubt is the referees Leniency today.

Italy look solid this tournament and pontential of going far in this tournament, they have now gone 11 matches in a row without conceding, fancy Italy win to nil 6/5 but wouldn’t be surprised if Austria scored from a set piece/corner so straight win for the double, the solid back line involving Bonnuci & 36 year old veteran Chiellini (questionable), keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma only 23 and has the experience of a 40 year old quality keeper highly rate his talent, Ciro Immobile has scored 9 goals in his last 11 games for club and country. On paper Italy likely to dominate and get the job done.

Tennis Fancy 🎾 - 3pm 🕰

ATP Mallorca 🇪🇸 (Final)

Sam Querrey under 16.5 player aces

Odds 📊 10/11 (1.91)

Paddy power usually have odds for ace markets in finals but surprisingly don’t today,

Reasoning:

Although Querrey has a high average for scoring aces, he’s playing against 1 of the best return servers in the world, many of you who were in here in February, we profited on every opponent Medvedev faced regarding the ace count as it’s 1 line that bookies seem to have trouble pricing Imo. No H2h data to go off between these regarding aces, Medvedev last 5 matches on grass he’s conceded 5 (over 3 sets), 2, 2, 9, 10 (5 sets)

While Querrey has scored 18, 25, 22 (3 sets), 14 (3 sets), 13.

All against opposition who have less reach on the return serve than Medvedev, my only doubt is if the match sees all 3 sets being played the over will be more likely to land.

Horse Fancies 🐴

3:45 Curragh 🕰 (Irish Derby)

Horse Name - Hurricane Lane 🏇

Odds 📊 11/2 (6.50) (Advising each way)

Recommend Sky Bet for this race as they a covering 4 places for the derby, majority of bookmakers only covering 3.

Reasoning;

The Big races this year has seen good success for us having the Winner of both the Irish & English grand nationals and the Cheltenham gold cup,

Although Fav looks strong in this competitive Irish derby on paper Hurricane lane can’t go unnoticed, he beat High definition at York over good ground May 13th, slightly longer trip by 2 furlongs, Epsom derby was travelling well before losing both his 2 front shoes, William Buick on board.

We won well with Macswiney at 8/1 here at the Curragh last month when beating Poetic Flare, which was over soft/heavy ground though and because of good today that puts me off backing him. Although he is 3 from 5 wins on turf at the Curragh (60%)

4:50 Curragh 🕰

Horse Name - Sinawann

Odds 📊 5/2 (3.50)

Reasoning:

Well supported in the market from backed in from 7/2, respectable run in last years 2,000 Guinneas. Group 3 Winner in 2020, solid 3rd at a listed race at Leopardstown earlier this month, Ronan whelan on board, good chance on paper today even with a group 3 penalty. Ground conditions also suit.

Just to Clarify for new members, I advise no more than 2 points (2%) on ‘Fancies’ as they would be selections that I’m less confident on paper, compared to point advised bets.
