Reasoning :

Both teams come into this old firm without conceding a goal in their last 3 matches, however Celtic have shown better form the past few weeks and rangers haven’t been as inconsistent as the start of the season, for eg St Mirren knocked rangers out of the cup 3-2.

Celtic are going for 10 league titles in a row to break history, rangers sit 16 points clear at the top of the table but Celtic have 3 matches in hand, realistically for Celtic to have any chance of getting back into the title race they need 3 points but it won’t be easy, I reckon this match will have a high tempo and both teams will be cagey, one thing that’s common in old firm matches through the years is cards and plenty of them, Referee is Bobby madden and rumoured he use to own a rangers season ticket years ago, although he was in charge of an old firm in 2019 which Celtic won 2-0 and he gave 2 yellows 1 to each team and a red to rangers. The same season he was ahead of another old firm which Celtic won 2-1 and he handed out 5 yellows and 2 reds to Rangers (100 booking points) year before that he handed out 6 yellows and another red too rangers (85 booking points).

Looking at foul counts in old firm h2h’s rangers tend to have the higher amount, I think tomorrow they will play a defensive play style throughout the match.
