With this out of the way I wanted to finish a short comic for Kara's New Year's collaboration that I started and work my way from there to Mommy Parts, then to working on updates for the games.

I apologize for my quiet absence, but starting in November a family member who's been very close helping out around the house went on leave for the holidays.  Getting through the holidays with fewer people to spread responsibilities to and higher demands from work and home in general pulled me away from my work here much more than expected.

In my city another COVID surge started just about the end of December, and I felt a general sense of panic and depression rising and blocking out most of my abilities to function.  That surge also meant that work still required a lot of my time and attention, even though the major holidays had passed.

With the beginning of January I've been watching the rising number of hospitalizations in my city, my concern that it will continue to strain a medical system already pushed to the limit.  It's been a lot to deal with, but some stress has evened out lately which has allowed me to do normal things like catch up on paying bills and finish projects that I've wanted to share with you all for a while now.

If anyone else is feeling this stress, I want you to know that you are not alone.  It's also my opinion that as a people we will eventually adapt and over come these challenges.  So we are going to take things one step at a time.
