The eXtra-Dimensional Theory: Poor Kevin! (Patreon)

Kevin was obviously prepared to be the tank of the group with additional muscle, size and metallic skin.  No defense is perfect and not only did mind-controlled Amanda slip past Kevin's defenses, but she also managed to slip one in...

The Mind Sylph reproduces via spore, which is injected into a host.  The spore gradually converts the host into a clone of the original but the first most obvious change is a hive mind link with the original.  Gestational times vary and since the original host has been "contained" Kevin has a little hope before the Mind Sylph begins rewriting his personality.

At this point, whatever solution The Doctor comes up with will mean that Kevin's days of being 100% human (even an enhanced human) are over!  A genetic or biological counter agent will be required to ensure the Mind Sylph is not a threat to Kevin or the crew.
