I had a lot of trouble coming up with another group of people on Far Eden that wasn't just another "alien" race.  I really liked the idea of autonomous androids that have founded their own regimented society to keep the prying optics of organics at bay.

I wanted them to be familiar yet intimidating- and sexy -to really expand on how the story progresses when dealing with them and why they are a greater ally to the Breeder and an adversary to the Champion.

Simply, they don't really care for the plight of organics as their reproductive process is so far untouched by the organic technology of the Erotar and the Zenofae Gene.
