Patreon has offered us a work around for the video playback issues on the app so now all videos exclusive to Rerez Patreon should work no matter what platform you choose to enjoy them on. 

We appreciate your patience and are relieved to have found a solution to this unexpected issue.

Hi everyone, Robin here with a rare IT update for the Rerez Patreon. We’ve been getting feedback that some of our Patrons get an error when they try to watch our exclusive video content, like the ReWatch of Chicken Shoot that we put up yesterday. Thank you to everyone who let us know this was a problem.

I did some digging and testing and I figured out what’s going on. For some reason - for which I’ve requested an explanation from Patreon support - video posts that are set to Patron Only will not play on the Patreon app. They play fine on desktop browsers as well as mobile browsers, just not the app.

This may be a surprise for many of you as you might remember other videos playing with no issues. Those videos were probably either Ask Rerez #2 or the ReWatch special featuring Just Bad Games episodes 1-3. Those posts are set to Public as a promotional effort for curious fans. This is why they play in the app with no problem while others just give a big error claiming the video doesn’t exist.

Going forward, if you’d like to consume our Patron exclusive video content (and we sure hope you do!) you’ll need to open it either on a mobile browser or on your PC.

We’re sorry for this inconvenience. We will continue to press Patreon for updates on if this will get fixed.
