The religious text is really fascinating! So weird how technology finds its niche markets! I knew a schoolteacher here in Japan in the late 90's who used on of these with dictionaries. He was disappointed that it didn't catch on. As an aside: Some of Sony's problems are self-inflicted. They are so paranoid about things being out of their control that Sony cameras sold here have no language options other than Japanese...my Canon has like 20 language choices. When I first moved to Japan I brought a Toshiba 440CDX, largely because Sony laptops had no international warranty so if I bought one in the US I'd have to send it back to the US for repair. And they wouldn't (and still won't) sell an English model in Japan. Love these vids on obscure technologies that have been largely forgotten!

For anyone who is curious: The Message is a translation/interpretation of the Bible which an emphasis on readability. According to Wikipedia, the New Testament was published in the early 90's, with the full Bible in 2002. I thought that's what the disc was, until I looked back at 7:28... yeah, that looks like sermons, not a Bible translation. Strange.
