Consumer demand for laptops was growing dramatically in the late 90s,  but some were becoming tired of lugging around a large, heavy computer.  In 1998 Microsoft hatched a plan to help drive inexpensive, lightweight  notebooks -- and Sharp delivered quite a unique model.

Hey Colin, I've got one of these but have lost my travel dock. I've already found a replacement hirose connector, but would like to confirm the pinout. Could you check hose the db9 is wired to the connector on the pv6000?

This particular unit was on loan, so it's not in my hands any more. But I'll see if I can borrow the travel dock again!
