We can't be experts in everything, especially when it comes to technology. So when it comes to YouTube content, should I stick to only topics I have personal experience with in order to placate the greybeards?

The fact is that someone behind a youtube comment is not always qualified, perhaps he or she hasn't know about the manner in this kind of comment, just think "oh you are wrong" and type a long comment in a hurry to express his anger. This kind of guide in the east we call them "指示厨", which describes someone has a strong will to teach the liver "listen to me, you are wrong, the things works like this" in comments.

Yep they do have some knowledge and perhaps they are right, but this kind of guy was not welcomed in many place.
