We're probably all familiar with some of the headlines about how companies like Apple, Google and Facebook are being called monopolies. But are they really? And most importantly, does it actually matter?

I swear I didn't want to write more than one paragraph :(

Regarding the Epic Games vs. Apple/Google - it's absurd to me and I have thought this since day 1. Note that I'm not a gamer and have never even downloaded any of their games. But, when signing up to sell/publish their games on APPLE'S CLOSED PLATFORM, they agreed to some terms. If they didn't like them, they could've chose not to put their app there. The same could be said about some of the censorship during the election that you mentioned - when signing up for an account on those platforms, people agreed to some terms that were broken and hence they were "censored." Probably much of it needs a reboot, but I don't know that it's really because these companies are monopolies. They are just greedy. I do think that maybe Apple and Google's 30% cut shouldn't necessarily be across the board, and it looks like they've changed that a bit to spite Epic - so good on them! lol. And yes, please please please let's get Instagram out of Facebook's control!!!!
