I’ve already done one with the RetroSix shell and it’s amazing ! I was thinking of the clean amp and you have convinced me 😁 Maybe on the next game boy video you could show how to clean the power button ? Anyway, as always great video Colin. Take care.

Wow, this looks so cool! What wire did you use inside the machine? It looks like it has no shielding, but I bet I'm missing something. I'm just getting started with soldering, and it this looks like something I could use.

It's called magnet wire. Instead of the typical plastic jacket on the outside, it's coated with epoxy instead. I like using it for short cable runs because it's easier to bend into shape and keep neat. You do have to "burn" the epoxy off at the ends where you solder it, and sometimes you don't get it completely removed and end up with a poor connection (which makes for frustrating troubleshooting). I wouldn't use it in every situation, but it's definitely useful stuff to keep on hand!
