Here's the timeline of events as they happened immediately after George Floyd was killed on a Minneapolis street at the hands of a police officer. This is a multifaceted topic and I couldn't cover everything about it. While most of the news has been centered on the bad parts of the story, I hope I was also able to adequately convey why I'm cautiously optimistic -- from the droves of people working to clean up and rebuild the community to the government leaders who seem committed to maybe, finally enacting change that's desperately needed.
