I wanted to show off some equipment in the form of a wall display. While  I could have probably pulled it off using off-the-shelf bits and  pieces, I tried my hand at designing a custom, 3D-printed bracket...and  now I'm hooked.

That looks super cool! It's a bummer than you won't be getting your own printer till the summer. I have a very budget printer that I use to print little figurines for friends, I printed a Gameboy battery cover for my girlfriend's console that was missing it, and a bunch more stuff. As for nerdy collections, I'm going to design and print little kickstands to display my MiniDiscs, rather than lay them flat or completely upright. That's coming soon.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that my Prusa Mini won't ship until September at this point, but I think it'll be worth the wait. One lesson I've learned repeatedly is that it's worth spending a little more to get tools that will save you time -- I could have picked up a less expensive printer that would ship right away, but I suspect I'd spend more time troubleshooting problems than it would be worth. I like your MiniDisc kickstand idea!

Fun video. I just started getting in to 3d printing in January, after I received an Ender 3 for Christmas. It's a ton of fun (and sometimes ultra-frustrating). I ended up getting a resin printer, the Anycubic Photon, shortly after since I like to print D&D miniatures. I started messing around in tinkercad as well, but I haven't made anything too complex yet. I've only made a magnetic power button cover for my PC (since my cat kept laying on my tower and powering it down while I game...), I modified a file from thingiverse to make lettered separators for alphabetizing my Magic card collection, and I made some simple brackets to screw together some 3d printed paint racks for my miniature paints. It's a lot of fun and I hope to keep getting better at it! I hope your printer makes its way into more neat projects, looking forward to them!
