Case No.: 11072CA
Case Status: Unresolved
Lead Agent: Sinclair, Alison
Updated: 16 September 2022, 16.52 UTC
Reporting Agent: Sinclair, Arlene (Director)

After considerable debate the board has voted to keep this case open, pending confirmation of the following points.

1. To our knowledge there have been no new ascensions to godhood in at least the past five centuries. If subject 18 (Cassandra Underwood) has indeed attained godhood this may be a worrying new precedent, particularily in light of her dangerous nature (eg. the destruction of agent Vargas and his team) and her reckless actions (eg. 'enchanted plush toys', case no. 21109CA).

If we can positively confirm subject 18's status as a goddess then the board will close this case as per our mandates. If the subject's claim of divinity is disproven then the subject should be destroyed in the interest of public safety.

2. If subject 18 is found to be a newly-ascended goddess the board is very concerned that she should be in such close proximity to a demon such as subject 20 (Nina Underwood). Therefore we must ascertain what subject 20's intentions are and whether or not she is influencing subject 18 in any way.

3. The possibility of demonic corruption in subjects 16 (Kaylee Holt) and 25 (Sasha Blakeley) represents another disturbing trend, we must ensure this corruption does not spread. Individuals confirmed to be suffering demonic corruption must be destroyed in the interest of public safety.

4. If subject 20 (Nina Underwood) is confirmed to be the source of the aforementioned demonic corruption, she must be destroyed or otherwise neutralized in the interest of public safety.

As our most experienced demonologist, Director Nahuel has volunteered to assume the lead on this case. He will assemble, brief, and train a team to assist him. He expects to be ready to take charge on site by mid-October, at which time Agent Sinclair will turn over all surveillance information and materials and assist the Director and his team.

Until then, Agent Sinclair is ordered to maintain detailed observation of all subjects, with extra attention given to aforementioned subjects 16, 18, 20, and 25.

Personal Addendum: Your latest report ruffled a lot of feathers here Alison, sorry it didn't lead to the outcome you were hoping for. FYI the board was split on this vote. Myself and four others voted to accept your recommendations and close the case, unfortunately Carlos Nahuel convinced the majority to vote his way.

BTW it's highly unusual for a director to personally take the lead on a case. And it's unheard of for a director to want to attend an active case out in the field. Nahuel might have personal reasons for getting involved, Vargas was one of his men.

Orders and expectations aside Alison, it seems to me that maybe you're overdue for a vacation? Perhaps it's time you and Laura packed up and left to enjoy some much deserved time off. I understand New Zealand is lovely this time of year.

It suddenly seems a bit less sinister that Alison is working for the council unwillingly, if one of the directors shares her last name. A relative? Also, yikes! I doubt even Cass will have any sympathy for this “demonologist” if he tries to hurt Kaylee and Nina.

Damn, I knew the Council had a negative opinion of demons, what with all the references to corruption and possession, but holy shit, this is full on genocidal! If Cassandra could see these reports, she’d take it as a declaration of war.
