New Story: Missing Persons (Patreon)

This story is the sixth installment of our Magic of the Moon series.

Description / Synopsis:

When what should have been a simple case brought be back to my old home town, I had a feeling it wouldn't end well for me. And with each passing day my investigation led me to more questions than answers.

What did a peculiar little new age shop have to do with a missing politician? Why did every other person I meet seem to want to protect the mysterious woman who owned the shop? And who were Selene and Skye?

Little did I know, finding those answers would change my life in ways I never could have imagined.

Notes:

As usual we'll update 1 chapter every other day. Except today, we'll start with 2 chapters. This story is slightly shorter than usual, 9 chapters + Epilogue. This is the final entry in the Magic of the Moon series as we originally planned it. I won't rule out future stories, but as originally envisioned the series was always meant to include 6 short stories and this one was always planned as the final entry.

Content Warnings:

The main character in this series starts out as a police detective (ACAB). No comment as to whether or not they're still a cop by the end. There are some references to depression and alcoholism which are flagged at the start of the chapters where they appear. Overall this story has (to me) a sort of detatched surreal vibe, similar to Employees Only.
