It's August bonus episode time, dreamboats!

You know how good people are always hideous and hot people are always terrible? The Farrelly Brothers sure do, and they made a whole movie about it! This month we watched the "Citizen Kane" of anti-fatness, "Shallow Hal," and spent more than an hour talking about Hollywood representation, romantic comedy tropes, Jumbotron proposals and the uggos who work for nonprofits.

But despite all the ground we cover in this episode, you might notice something missing. We gathered up a bunch of quotes Gwyneth Paltrow has given about wearing the fat suit over the years ("every pretty girl should be forced to do that"), but we just couldn't fit them into this one.

So next month's bonus is going to be a Fat Suit Spectacular where we talk about the aftermath of this movie and the phenomenon of skinny actresses suiting up to play fat people. Let us know in the comments if you have suggestions for movies or TV shows we should include (and other movies, good or bad, we should watch for future Movie Clubs).

You can play today's episode directly through Patreon, or you can use our RSS feed to add it to your podcast app.  Here are the instructions from Patreon.

Thanks for listening, for supporting and for not watching this godforsaken movie.
