So, i have placed my bet on CPU rendering, and today have ordered more hardware:

Two more Intel Core i7 - 5820K CPUs. If there will be a good sample that will work at 4400Mhz on low voltage, this will go to my new Master PC.

Two Thermalright TRUE Spirit 140 (BW) Rev.A1.

64Gb DDR4 2133MHz Kingston HyperX Fury  (8x8Gb KIT) for new Master PC.

32Gb DDR4 2133MHz Crucial  (4x8Gb KIT) for Slave.

Another ASUS X99-A motherboard for Slave.

ASUS SABERTOOTH X99 motherboard for new Master PC.

Two GeForce 210 MSI Turbo Cache PCI-E 512Mb  for Slaves.

Arctic Cooling MX-4 Thermal Compound  for all.

550W SeaSonic SSR-550RT for Slave.

1000W SeaSonic SS-1000XP for new Master PC.

Thermaltake Core V71 Black for new Master PC.

Antec Nine Hundred Black for Slave.

And GIGABYTE 980 TI for new Master PC.

If everything will go smooth, my order will arrive at October 13, so i should expect sleepless night of assembling PCs.

Currently i have and rendering with Intel Core i7 - 5820K working at 4125MHz with 32GB DDR4 G.SKILL Ripjaws 4,ASUS X99-A,GeForce GTX 760 4GB WINDFORCE 3X,Intel Core i7 - 3770K working at 4400MHz with Kingston HyperX FURY Memory Blue - 16GB Kit (2x8GB) - DDR3 1600MHz, ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE.

And this will be probably fun to have ZOO of PCs under my desk.

Hope this will also speed up my render times, i also placing bet on next version of VRAYforC4D when it will be released and will have build in support for Intel Embree tech.

Jake theberge

So based an what little i know about how computers work, this is one step closer to the elf/monster orgy we all want, or Skynet. Kidding aside, good to hear you can afford new Terminator... i mean computer hardware.

X3Z

I can't even dream about that without your support! :)

Also i have big hopes for Redshift (<a href="https://www.redshift3d.com/)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.redshift3d.com/)</a> as hybrid GPU renderer, thats why i have decided to buy 1KW PSU and GTX 980 TI, as future prospects, to buy another one GTX 980 TI, and probably finally do animations when Redshift will be available for C4D. And it will(<a href="http://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/forums/topic/89602-redshift-for-c4d-call-for-developers/)." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/forums/topic/89602-redshift-for-c4d-call-for-developers/).</a>

On your home page you said, "...one frame takes roughly from 15 to 60 minutes to render, and I need 30 frames per second to make animations, without losing quality". I'm really happy you're able to invest in system upgrades. How much closer does this bring you now to animate, when Redshift does become available for C4D? Will you be able to create and render in 'real-time' now? ...and like Jake said, one step closer to the monster/elf orgy we all want :-D

X3Z

Not in real-time, but i can get closer to 1-3 mins per 720p frame.

This is good news X3Z. Looking forward to see the results. The quality of your work makes our support well worth it. :o)

X3Z

sadly, i probably will not get 64 gb of ram in current month :(

X3Z

Got all hardware, so next step is assemble it all :)

Finally, done building my render farm! So this is my main terminator: <a href="http://valid.x86.fr/njqee1" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://valid.x86.fr/njqee1</a> And Slaves, one: <a href="http://valid.x86.fr/9k27k8" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://valid.x86.fr/9k27k8</a> two: <a href="http://valid.x86.fr/sf1qfs" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://valid.x86.fr/sf1qfs</a> three: <a href="http://valid.x86.fr/4tmq58" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://valid.x86.fr/4tmq58</a>

Wicked. Let us know how much it drops your frame render time. Can't wait to see what it produces!
