I would never for the life of me have picked Naimh and DJ as counterparts. Interesting.

To quote one of the Beta discussions on Discord: Almost got him. Naimh, like DJ, was portrayed in a somewhat hollow manner in order to portray that their relationship with Matty/Ben is a bit hollow. Thus far, Naimh has been the girl barely hanging on. Like DJ following her sister, Naimh is the junior member of the BTC and the one whose position can feel most precarious. On top of that, both barely made it into Berkeley unlike the rest of the characters who never seemed to have that in question. Finally, both are eager to take their shot with Matty/Ben when the opportunity arises.

Okay, that makes sense. I guess I was more focused on personality and maybe some background info more than actual story outcomes and plot.

None of them were ever intended to be direct analogs of each other. For each pairing, there are some characteristics that line up and a lot that don't.
