Tetsuya Nomura's tendancy to over design is going to kill me one of these days...

Also I did a Dark Magician Girl.

Awesome Lulu.

Really like what you did for Dark Magician Girl. I was wondering what your plan for the pose was, and how you'd do the wand riding one if you picked it.

Ryan Snyder

Lulu is really well done. It's going to be difficult to field her in a game in that pose though, lol!

DarthUrsus

Both look great. You're actually not the first 3D artist to get trolled by Nomura's design for Lulu. He's said that he went way over the top with her design to try to push the boundaries of what Square's artists could do with the the new PS2 hardware. Understandably, the 3D artists didn't love this. As a result, her in-game model doesn't actually have any legs under the dress. She also doesn't appear in many pre-rendered cutscenes and when she does it is often only from the waist up.

Really good, but I wonder how I will paint Lulu. The inside of her dress looks difficult to reach with a brush through the belt holes

ESAVAGE

It was a calculated risk. Whenever I think about Lulu my mind just defaults to this pose.

I thought about that too. It's not too late for me to make her dress completely solid. Or you could paint her legs before gluing her to a base.

PhicaPrintsUK

I assumed that pose for Lulu. But those legs are gonna be hard to paint, even before sticking on a base. I think maybe I would prefer a solid dress. Could you potentialy give us both versions?

Badass.
