Chapter 4: Thirsty For More

Zelda found herself continuously amazed throughout this adventure.

The warm air whipped through her long hair as she sped through the desert, pulled along by a massive sand seal. She sat upon a long silver shield that Link had provided, electing to stay seated since her center of gravity could lead to… complications. Her rope had been tied around her waist like a belt, holding her tight but not unpleasantly.

The sand seals, perhaps being naturally endeared to Zelda since they too were covered in blubber, had treated the princess with exceptional kindness and intelligence that she would not have thought such animals able to possess. Hers had no problem pulling her along as they made their way to the south west.

Zelda held the Sheikah slate in her hands, occasionally checking their position icon but also unable to take her eyes off their fascinating surroundings. The Gerudo Desert seemed to be home to all sorts of natural wonders, from fauna that seemed to flourish even out here in this desperate environment to the creatures that seemed to prefer the arid heat. She idly wondered what the sand seals might do if she were to take them back to Lake Hyrule.

However, Zelda felt herself also quite intimidated by the wasteland sands. The heat poured down upon them without remorse, and giant sandstorms billowed nearly forty feet high and unknowable in scope. Not only that, but the extreme lack of water was rightly apparent. She theorized that the fauna must in some way be affected by the Pristine Water source Link knew about, and as they were heading there anyway, Zelda felt little remorse in drinking the last of her canteen to try and temper her growing thirst.

She capped the now empty bottle and placed it back in her lap. Around the girth of her seal, she watched Link from behind. He still wore his Gerudo outfit, skating from side to side with easy confidence. His muscular body glistened with a fresh layer of exerted sweat, somehow making the cut of his waist look even more attractive. Although she wasn’t sure she was too much a fan of how girly the pants made his hair and would rather something nicer to show off his butt.

Zelda blinked before feeling the blush coming on as strong as ever and averted her eyes from Link’s rear. How astoundingly crass of her… What would she think if she caught Link looking at her bottom?

She then drummed her fingers uncomfortable on her doughy thigh, unable to deny how flattered she’d be. The thoughts were then shoved aside as she noticed their path would be taking them directly into one of the passing clouds of dust.

Trusting in Link’s lead, Zelda made no noise of complaint as they rushed down up a long slope towards the whirling winds. At the last moment she remembered his veil and lifted her shirt to cover her nose before they passed into the gray dust.

It was much cooler inside of the swirling sands, blasted by wind and hidden from the sun. She noted with worry that the Sheikah slate was no longer tracking their position, instead giving back a reading of crackling snow, but was able to keep her focus on Link as they traveled.

It wasn’t long before something began to loom in the distance. At first, Zelda thought it to be some rocky outcropping, but as they drew closer fear twanged her insides. Sharp teeth marked the massive mouth of the creature, blasted by sands until it was naught but fossilized bone. The great leviathan was far larger than any creature Zelda had seen, though she was reminded of the ultimate evil in Calamity Ganon, and her discomfort grew even though the creature was clearly centuries dead.

She remembered the label and again checked the slate as they drew closer. Gerudo Great Skeleton reflected on the screen.

Ahead, she heard Link whistled loudly. The seals responded, pulling in a line, and Zelda saw the extreme curve of the slope that obscured the ribs of the fallen beast. The side of her seal began to poke out as they came to the hill and she felt her weight begin to swing them further downward. Looking up into the ribcage made her cringe with worry and she tried her best to distribute her weight fairly for her creature.

Then she felt her eyes widen in surprise as, from the pit where the leviathian would have had his belly, another shape bloomed from the sands. More scattered fauna surrounded a great green bulb that popped up from the ground, dotted with speckles of orange that resembled toadstools.

Link whistled once more and the seals pace slowed, pulling them near a small orange slope and coming to a stop. Link detached himself with his usual flourish and the seals hopped up from the sands with delightful little barks before clapping their flippers. The larger seal pulled the still attached princess along to the smaller seal, where it affectionately rubbed its companion with a warm tenderness. As she untied herself, Zelda wondered if the pair were mates.

Link came to her, unclasping his veil to reveal a broad grin.

Zelda chuckled. “Yes, yes. Good job. Now, help me up,” she instructed and held out her hands.

He took her and leaned backward, pulling her up with hardly an issue. It actually surprised Zelda, the ease of which he controlled her weight. He didn’t show any sign of strain where even just standing for a while could cause a light ache in her legs. She pushed the thought aside, trying to focus.

“So, is this the source?” she asked, gesturing to the bulb. “Is there water inside? How do we get it?”

Link held up a finger to his mouth.

She squinted at him before glancing about with slight confusion. The only other creatures nearby seemed to be the affectionate seals, but she kept silent as Link leaned down and unclasped his bag.

From it, her knight withdrew the other Gerudo outfit as well as his own canteen. He then tapped his fingers upon his rupee pouch and then pointed at the bulb.

Again Zelda looked at him before shaking her head, uncomprehending.

Link puckered his lips to the side before extending his hand.

The princess looked down at it and felt the little warmth return as she took it in her own. She then looked up at him and, lightly smiling, nodded.

He returned it before turning and walking along with her. They circled around the bulbous plant, passing to the opposite side of the small orange slope. Link then unstopped the top of his canteen and poured the remaining contents out into the sand.

Zelda was hardly able to contain herself from reprimanding him. She could have drank that! But the ominous mood of being in the skeleton’s belly allowed her to maintain her disciplined quiet.

Link handed her the canteen before tapping himself on the chest and pointing toward the other side. He still held the clothing, as well as the rupee pouch.

Zelda nodded, thinking she understood. He would open the plant from that side and then she would dip the canteens into the water. There must be some sort of spirit, maybe something to do with the Gerudo clothing, that rested inside.

Then, something unexpected happened. Link reached out and took Zelda’s hand. Zelda was grabbed by his gaze, by the softness in his eyes, and felt her own stare into his. Numbly, she could hardly feel her hand as Link raised it before him. He placed the forefinger and middle finger of his other hand together, tapping the back of her hand three times.

A few moments passed before she thought she understood. She felt her mouth open, close, and then open again. Her heart was thumping inside of her chest, and her vision became intoxicated as little fairies seemed to float up from the flora and dance around them, sparkling with light.

Her eyes fluttered and she wanted so desperately to speak. Her mind pushed her to say something about duty, to prattle on about her responsibilities and their stations and-

She shut herself up by wrenching on his hand and grabbing her arms around his back. She felt his circle around her, at first holding her easily before tightening so much that it nearly hurt. She buried her face into the nape of his neck, feeling the solid strength of his body as he felt the overflowing softness of hers. She opened her voice to say something, but felt a little awkward noise come out instead, and realized she was on the verge of crying.

Instead, not trusting her voice, Zelda raised her arm over his back. She tucked her hand through his hair and, with her two fingers, tapped him three times in return.

His arms tightened. She worried for a moment what he might think of her body before deciding that, right now, she just didn’t care.

He smelled sweaty, and she was sure she did too, but they stood interlocked for a few minutes until she could temper her breathing. She remembered the last time he’d held her like this. The memory of the rain, of the sorrow, of the guilt… that sorrow she carried finally felt as if it had vanished. And for the first time since he’d held her hands when she’d been floating up in the air, Zelda felt as if she’d finally found her feet on the ground. Standing with her arms around her hero.

It was her that finally stepped back from their hug, but she didn’t loosen her arms. She looked up into his eyes, into the brightness of his smile, and felt her return it. Finally she found herself able to whisper. “C-can we talk? Later?” she asked.

He nodded.

Zelda sighed. “Okay…” she returned. “I feel like I’m gonna explode,” she trailed off into a very light giggle.

Link smirked, breathing a soft laugh of his own. He tilted his head towards the plant and Zelda nodded, finally releasing her grip and stepping away.

She watched Link go, grinning from ear to ear and unable to keep from giggling into her hands. Zelda felt exceptionally plump, swaying from side to side and feeling her weight swinging from her hips, but something about the way he glanced back at her made her feel like the most gorgeous woman in the world.

It was when he disappeared around the plant that Zelda realized the fairies weren’t a part of her imagination. Tiny bundles of light twittered around her, dancing in the desert with such holy grace. Zelda blinked down at them, trying to figure why there were so many of the creatures here when a behemothian voice suddenly caused her to nearly topple over in shock.

Oh,” it resonated through the empty air. “It’s you again, boy…

Zelda looked up to the plant as it shivered and took two steps away.

The voice was deep but still recognizably feminine. “Sweet little boy, you’ve come back to Tera.

Zelda felt her eyes sharpen. W-who in Twilight was this spirit talking to! It better not be Link!! Where did she get off thinking she cou-

Have you come to offer me tribute once more, my traveler?” the spirit asked. “I’ll need more rupees to reinvigorate my power. Make us whole again, boy.

The princess stamped her foot and was about to demand answers when, quite suddenly, the plant began to shake. Purple smoke flowed outward and the voice became scandalously lewd.

Aaaah, the power!” it cried. “It’s overflowing!!!” with a heightened moan, the spiny green leaves flowed open to reveal white and orange petals and a luscious blue spring inside. Zelda had to leap backward to get clear and was briefly able to see Link, veil concealing his expression once more before with an effeminate “Ah-HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” a snowy white giantess burst up from the center, sending a crashing wave over the edges and down onto the hills of the sand.

Zelda’s eyes spread wide and her mouth dropped open. Around her, the little fairies danced in celebration and floated up near the spring. From behind, the giant woman appeared to be exceptionally curvy, with small folds of pudge around her shoulders that flowed over her top. Covered in golden finery and scantily clad, the woman had no shame in her almost divine appearance.

The connection finally formed as Zelda looked from the dancing fairies to the immense woman in the fountain. Before her was one of the Great Fairies of legend. The woman leaned forward, yet didn’t seem to drip with any of the water she was still mostly submerged in. She leaned on her arms, only exposed from the waist up to the air, yet still was at least twenty feet up.

Her forearms were huge. Curvaceous pudge flowed over a bracelet near her elbow, appearing worldly soft. Zelda found herself comparing her body to the women’s, realizing that the immense woman’s arm was probably as wide as she was around.

So, it is you,” the Great Fairy Tera bent forward, placing an arm behind her head. Zelda blushed fiercely, realizing the woman must be accentuating her chest towards Link to show off her figure. “I was almost positive, but you seem a bit different now. Ahhh,” the fairy cooed, “A bit wiser to the world.

Zelda puckered her lips and furrowed her brow in a furious expression. With a glance to the water she put a lid on her mouth and moved forward with the open bottles, intent on finishing their mission.

But I wonder, do you remember what I said before? When you first came to me?

Oh, we are certainly be having a talk after this alright!’ Zelda thought to herself. ‘What in the world was Link thinking, not telling me where they were going! A fountain of a Great Fairy?! … Well, she’s not even really that great,’ Zelda thought jealously, ‘I mean look at her hair!’ Silently she moved forward, pushing the petals out of her way with her belly and nearing the edge of the pool

Perhaps not,” the giantess remarked, “but we shall attend to that soon. I believe you’ve brought something for me? Clothing for me to… not make stronger, no. Stretchier, hmmm?

Zelda glanced up. ‘Stretchier?’ She shook her head, ‘Focus!’ She reached the edge of the water and looked down.

The spring was the clearest water that Zelda had ever seen. She could see down, down, down, as the water seemed to stretch all the way to the core of the planet. The pudgy Great Fairy swam in it, glimmering with bright golden light, seemingly purifying the water. An act which only made Zelda’s jealousy tick up another notch.

She slowly dipped the first canteen into the water, and instantly felt the effects of its pristine strength on her submerged hand. A trickle of coolness flowed up from her wrist, over onto her arm. It almost tickled as it transferred onto her body, and where the coolness spread her body began to feel refreshed and pleasantly temperate. She noticed, too, that she had quickly stopped sweating, and that even the marks of sweat on her clothing were fading away.

Yet the sensation did nothing for how parched she felt. There was no time for it now, so she removed the canteen and then dipped the other in.

Yeeeesss,” the Great Fairy moaned, “You’ve brought everything you need for these. I’ll be able to enhance them for you to give to your ‘Special One.’

Zelda looked up. A small wave pushed back when the Great Fairy leaned onto her elbows and blew forth onto Link. She felt herself tense, unsure what to feel and settling on impotent frustration.

She took the now filled canteens and stepped back from the fountain. A pair of fairies spun around her, twinkling brightly and reinforcing her glare.

The water sloshed as the woman rose up, revealing up to her hips. Zelda puckered her lips at the generous curves. Again she compared herself to the luscious lady. While nowhere near as big, she was unquestionably fatter than the Great Fairy was. If the Great Fairy were her size, she probably wouldn’t even fit in the fountain… “Is there anything else? No?” she asked Link. “Then I’ll be headed home, dear sweet boy.” She opened her arms up to the sky and laughed in a high pitch before dropping back down. “We shall meet agaaain!

And with another resounding splash, the Great Fairy was gone. Over the fountain, Zelda could see Link, holding the Gerudo clothing he had gotten for her. For a moment, he looked rather pleased with himself.

Then, he noticed Zelda, arms crossed over her chest and tapping her foot impatiently. Even from there she was able to seem his eyes widen.

He dismounted the slope. Surprisingly, the petals began to fold back upward, and he was again hidden from sight. Zelda surmised that the Great Fairy must be saving her energy, concealing her fountain until another adventure returned. She doubted many people came out nearly this far, and those that did likely avoided the unnerving skeleton.

Link appeared, lightly jogging towards her. She tried to keep the frown on her face, but the way he presented the outfit to her caused her to pucker her lips into a pout before sighing and taking it. “Thank you,” she said flatly to him, pulling the bright blue top between both of her hands. It stretched without any sort of resistance, but also reformed its slender shape when nothing held it open.

She looked at the outfit more closely now. The top was marked with small white symbols, likely some meaning to the Gerudo clan in how it matched with Links. It also came with a set of bright arm coverings, with small golden bracers that now somehow stretched when Zelda pulled on them that would hold the fabric in place, along with a pair of gloves. The brighter fabric was all sheer, with only the top able to completely conceal.

“It doesn’t even have shoulders…” Zelda muttered to herself. “Is it supposed to just be held up by my chest? At least it should be a bit cooler…”

Realizing she was being watched, Zelda looked up to see Link was looking down towards her body as she looked over the clothing. She made a noise that resembled a small chirp as she grasped, he was picturing her already dressed and tossed the veil at his face. It weakly fluttered pathetically to the ground.

“H-hey! You can’t…” she broke of before putting her hands on her hips. “Go stand watch!!!”

He looked up to her and she thought she saw a little flicker of embarrassment as he sharply looked away and nodded. He reached down, taking the veil and handing it to her.

She reached for it but something passed her mind and she took his hand instead. Glancing off to the side she muttered, “You can see me in it in a minute… I don’t know why you’re imagining. So impatient!”

Link breathed a very soft chuckle, reaching her hand and holding it for a moment. He squeezed it before letting go.

“Ahh!” Zelda fumbled, trying to snatch the veil. She snagged it out of the air and breathed a sigh before looking up to him.

He was grinning.

Her blush turned scarlet. “Go away!!!” she shouted before turning and trundling off behind the plant so she could get changed.

******************************************************************************

The pants were supposed to be poofy, but since the Great Fairy simply made them stretchier instead of actually larger, they clung to Zelda just as tight as her black leggings had, but these were white with crescent moon pattern and a red / gold waistband. They were also made to ride women lower, beneath their belly, but given Zelda was so large that her stomach would only push them down past her hips, so she had to wear them a bit higher.

The good news was that the outfit was comfortable. Nothing was too tight, despite most of it feeling like it was form fitting. The golden bracelets felt firm on Zelda’s upper arms, and the top seemed capable of concealing most of her modesty… The veils felt nice as well. She’d tied her hair back into a ponytail to keep it off of her neck before setting the primary veil over it, to protect it from all the dust and the sand, then affixed the facial veil over her nose and obscuring her double chin.

The bad was that the outfit caused Zelda to appear even fatter. A roll of her tummy pushed over the top of her pants as if she were some a creamy white pastry held in its wrapping, and permanent love handles were equally on display. She had expected those, but what she hadn’t predicted was how her arms looked exceptionally flabby, spooling over the bright colored metal. She also felt quite a bit silly at just how little the pants did to hide her tubby rear or her well fattened thighs. Ever her calves looked chunky in the tights, showing where they merged with her chubby feet and the obvious lack of tone in her ankles.

But, as Zelda considered things, she wondered how bad this development truly was. In all honesty, her being so fat didn’t feel bad so much as it made her… nervous. She kept thinking about Link, his hands wrapped around her back or dipping back to her favorite memories of having her belly rubbed and being hand fed. She wondered what he thought of her body…

Zelda reminded herself that this trip to the desert was because she was trying to lose weight. They’d retrieved the ingredients for a magical salad… but that was because Zelda had been raised to believe a princess needed to be skinny. It was a part of her image.

But what about… what about a… girlfriend?

Or maybe… a wife?

She shook her head rapidly, trying to clear those thoughts from her head. Those were too far to consider right now. For all she knew, she’d walk around the plant and then Link would… laugh at her or something.

Her lips folded into a puckered pout. “You know that’s not true,” she said to herself. “You saw how he was looking at you…” Her hand rested near her waistband, plucking her thumb into it before letting it snap against her. Her belly bounced sharply, sending the momentum to her perky breasts and down her hammy thighs.

She was as round and as chubby as a rising ball of dough. And given how much she enjoyed being handled… Zelda was beginning to believe that she must really love being so soft.

However, one true negative came to her as she looked at herself. A wash of hunger rumbled up from her fluffy round tummy, and Zelda realized now that she’d not eaten at all since Link went for supplies. She’d been in such a bad mood when he got back, and then had spent so much time thinking and then even more worrying.

Zelda sighed at herself in exasperation. “Alright, Zelda,” she her hands on her hips. “You’re chubby,” she twerked to one side, “Link can’t take his eyes off you,” she bobbed to the next, “and you love it.” She moved back and forth on her heels, watching her belly shake and trying to ignore the ache of her grin and the heat on her cheeks. “Now go out and show him!” she ordered herself. “… And then maybe ask if he had gotten those snacks.”

Her belly rumbled again as she wobbled around the plant before she realized she’d forgotten her clothing and hurried back. Bending over was a pain in the back, but Zelda told herself she’d only been obese for like a week. Her muscles weren’t used to so much weight. If as sheshe had the salad and it changed her, she wouldn’t need to worry about it.

And if she didn’t want to… well… she could probably get use to things… right?

Zelda came around toward the front of the plants and glanced around the area. It was empty. “Link?” she asked, puckering her lips.

He responded as a sound sliding sand that drew her attention. A small wave came down from above with Link surfing barefoot atop of it, back down to his Zelda in the skeleton’s stomach.

“There you are!” she said brightly as he dismounted. He’d removed his own veil, revealing his face and his hair. Flecks of sand dribbled off him as he turned to her. “I thought you’d… umm… Hmm. I don’t know that I thought,” she admitted, “but look!”

Zelda tried to twirl around, as if she were to show a dress. She was not ready for the immensely odd sensation of her changed center of gravity. She spun for only a moment before her toes refused to twist in the sand and she tried to recover by holding her arms out and performing a circling waddle.

She grinned roughly at herself, laughing sourly. “Aheh heh… sorry, still, umm, getting used to… me,” she said to him. When she looked up, she was expecting his eyes and for his kindly smile.

She was not expecting his gaze to still be locked onto her belly, nor the light color to his cheeks that spoke worlds for his thoughts.

Zelda felt like skipping. Instead, she twisted from side to side. “Well,” she beamed, “what do you think?”

He blinked before opening his mouth. A shuddering breath came out.

Zelda felt her grin sharpen. “Oh, my…” she said. She approached him, feeling it turn to a smirk. “Are you actually… speechless?” she asked.

Link’s eyes flipped from her body to her eyes. The blush got deeper.

“You are!” Zelda laughed. “Awe, Link! That’s so cute!!” She giggled, clasping her hands before herself and twisting giddily.

She was cut off and turned to a gasp of surprise when Link suddenly moved forward. Deftly, he gripped her round her back with one arm while catching her hand with another. Her belly smushed into him as he swept her backward and she loosed a shocked yelp as he dipped her backward.

Zelda felt all of her weight pulling back on his grasp. She glanced toward the ground and then to his arm. She noticed it was lightly shaking from the strain “Link!” she laughed through a smile. “What are you doing?”

Then she turned up into his face and into his eyes. Words left her as he held her there, mere inches from his face. She didn’t slip, didn’t sink another inch in his grasp. She could feel the power in his exposed muscles through all the dough of her pudge.

“Link,” she whispered. Then, with their joined hands, she tapped the back of his three times. He returned the gesture, and she pulled herself up into a hug.

Her belly rumbled as an unwanted interruption, causing him to loosen his grip and look down to her.

“Eheh…” Zelda forced a laugh, looking down at herself. “I’m sorta really hungry…”

******************************************************************************

*Huuf… huff* Ohh, Goddess…” Zelda panted as she came to the top of the slope outside of the leviathan’s ribs. “I can’t… Ungh,” she grunted, trying to catch her breath. “I can’t believe those, hoof, the sand seals just swam off like that…”

Behind her, Link had placed a hand upon her back and was helping her up. The angle of the sand to leave the fountain area was exceptionally harsh. Zelda hoped the Gerudo tribe had a sweet shop. She deserved something special for all of this.

Before them lay the open desert. Heat bubbled up from the sand in waves, but there was no sign of their transport. “Why weren’t you watching them?”

She felt a finger poke into her side and saw Link gazing openly at her belly.

“Yeah… well, you might have to carry me if we have to walk all that way back,” she grumbled. Then, “Can I have another of those honey candies?”

Link dutifully pulled a handful of the honey sweets from his pouch, handing them into Zelda’s porky fingers. She undid her face veil, letting it hang freely to the side of her chubby chin. Then she unwrapped the first candy and gobbled it down before tucking the wrapper along with the others inside of one of Link’s pouches.

A short burst of energy spiked in her system. It was immediately consumed to keep her obese body running as her tummy loosened another growl, having realized just how empty it was.

She ate another and then another as they walked down the small decline before the next slope and was exceptionally pleased when she noticed Link unwrapping a pair of his own sweets. There was something about eating with him that just made the food taste better.

The two of them walked on a short distance, coming to the next dune. Zelda felt partially daunted at how high it seemed, but Link mounted it rather quickly, lightly jogging up the slope and peering into the distance.

“H-hang on,” Zelda bade, her feet sinking into the hill and pulling loose an uncomfortable amount of sand as she waddled in his wake. Yet when he looked down at her, Zelda couldn’t help but feel a bubbly pride at how he looked at her body.

It might be the desert, but Zelda was coming to appreciate being a chubby ball of dough. Even though the walking sucked.

Her breathing became heavier until she was fully out of breath at the top of the hill. Her nostrils flared and her thick thighs ached with soreness. She tried to bend over and rest her ands on her knees, but her belly folded uncomfortably and got in the way, so with a heavy grunt she toppled back onto her bottom. “I need… a break,” she sweat.

She didn’t look up at Link, but she could hear him chuckle. Before them stretched the empty wastes. Sand, sand, rock, sand. No sign of the town, but they were only about a hundred yards from the skeleton, and most of that had been the elevation climb.

“J-just a minute.” She paused between breaths, “These two were… the highest hills… right?”

Beside her, Link sat down. He ruffled through his pack and withdrew the Sheikah slate, along with another small package.

“Oh!” Zelda brightened. “Are those nuts??”

Link nodded, handing her the bag. She opened it to take in the lovely scent of cinnamon roasted nuts.

“Oooh, bless those Gerudo women,” she pined before scooping a handful of the well scented treat. A copious amount of sugar coated the healthy snack, revitalizing Zelda’s sweet-craving tastebuds. She chomped upon them cheerfully while Link checked their positioning.

She leaned onto him and he briefly rubbed her thigh with his freehand. She snorted a laugh through her snack, comparing the size of their legs against each other. She was so much wider than him now, yet he still just had such a gravity to him.

Zelda had come to a decision. The visage that she held herself to was shattered. She didn’t care if it felt like a fantasy, she would see herself by Link’s side and keep him at hers. There was more to it than that, more to talk over and to consider and… well, she wanted to know him better too. Even though things might be difficult, or strange at first, something had dawned on the princess as he had held her.

Zelda’s greatest fear was failing the world. Coming back, again and again, fated to fight evil for all of her many lives. She had felt that she was doomed to fail, that she must eventually fail, as it was the only end the cycle could ever see. But, the girl realized, that fate wasn’t hers alone.

Link would be with her. As he sat with her now, he would be with her again. And, for the first time, it occurred to Zelda that he’d been with her before. Again and again, he would sit with her, fight with her, and win. Because while Zelda was sure that she could one day fail to fight evil, she knew with certainty that Link would be there. And he would never fail her.

As they sat on that hill, Zelda wondered what they’d been like in the past. All of her life, she’d had this picture of herself as this regal, queenly woman. A goddess given flesh, perfect in action and voice. She’d thought her clumsiness and lack of fighting prowess to be signs of her oncoming failure… but what if they weren’t?

What if there were Zeldas in the past that were clumsy too? Or dorky, or what if there were strong ones but in other ways? Magical, like the sages, or powerful, like the other champions?

And what if there were Zeldas that weren’t? What if there were Zeldas that were pudgy and pleasant? Who’s greatest strength was she could throw a really great party with plenty of cake?

She wondered what their Links were like too. It was now that Zelda believed that no matter the Princess, he would always be hers. She’d have to ask him what he thought about it, and wished they could somehow test it. Get access to some magic, some power over time.

‘Yeah, magic stronger than time,’ Zelda giggled to herself. ‘Now that was pure fantasy.’

Link drew her attention, bringing her back to the present. He was holding out a hand.

“Oh!” she muttered through a mouthful of nuts. “Schry,” she giggled and held out the bag.

Less than a single handful remained. Link narrowed his eyes from the bag to the princess.

She giggled nervously before coughing into her hand. “Omph,” she swallowed, “sorry. Those made me even thirstier. Did you bring anything else? Something to drink?”

His expression remained level.

“Eheh… I’ll take that as a no…” Zelda laughed. Then, she brightened. “Oh! The water!”

She leaned behind Link, reaching into a separate supply bag and withdrew her canteen. Link put a hand over hers, raising his eyebrow and looking back to the skeleton and the fountain inside.

Zelda shrugged. “Well, it’s ‘Pristine’ water, right? It felt really refreshing when I was filling the bottles, I bet it’s way more refreshing to drink.”

Link tilted his head. He pointed from the bottle and then to her stomach, still looking questioning.

Zelda blushed, tucking her chin into her chest. “Well… I dunno,” she said. “I know we need it for the recipe but… I am kind of… liking… being like this.”

She watched his eyes as they went to her the roll of her belly. There was no judgement there, simply that look from before. The slight swallow in his mouth, the glint in his eyes.

She felt her confidence heighten. “And I can tell you like it, too,” she whispered to him. A smirk filled her lips as his eyes returned to her gaze. “So, what do you say?” she asked, trying not to look too excited. “I’ll stay soft and chubby, and you don’t get too mad when I eat all your snacks?”

“Pffft,” Link audibly snorted before chuckling aloud. He placed a hand on her thigh, watching it bounce as he massaged.

“That isn’t a yes or a nooo…” Zelda baited.

Link simply looked up into her eyes for a few moments before nodding his head.

Feeling her confidence boil over like her belly fluffed over her pants, Zelda leaned forwards. She puckered her lips and placed a very light kiss upon her knight’s blushing cheek. When she pulled back, she was delighted to see the surprise in his face. “Next time,” she said, “I want you to say it.” Her whispered was sincere, “I want to hear your voice, Link. But I think we should sit down and… talk about that at length.”

Then, Zelda unstopped the canteen and drank from the Pristine Waters. The Great Fairy water tasted sublime, refreshing and cooling as it flowed down her throat. She gulped mouthful after mouthful, hardly able to temper herself, lost as the sloshing began to fill out her tummy.

It took a surprising amount of willpower to separate the canteen from her lips. She’d drank nearly half of it in one single pull, though it left her mouth feeling almost immediately dry and wanting for more. She coughed into her hand. “Oh, goodness…” she coughed again.

Link took the canteen from her, raising his eyebrows.

Zelda waved it away. “T-that was so yummy…” she said. “It was like I couldn’t stop drinking.” The princess shook her head when he offered it to her again, though now she felt the odd sensation of gas tightening inside of her tummy. “N-no thank you,” she muttered. “I might drink it all.” Zelda tried to breath a laugh, but a gentle burp escaped from her lips.

She covered her mouth, turning pink in the face, but Link’s cracking expression caused her to laugh from her belly.

“Let’s save the rest,” she said, placing her hands on the ground. “We might need it on our way.”

Zelda wobbled her way to her feet, assisted by Link’s helping hand. The dryness of her mouth quickly began to bother her, causing her tongue to flick against the roof. The taste of the water had been quite lovely… maybe another sip couldn’t hurt.

She banished the thought from her mind and started down the slope of the hill, deciding that moving would temper her desire. She was probably just hungry and wanted something delicious. Link could spoil her amongst all the Gerudo women once they managed to reach town.

A glance over her shoulder caught Link peeking downward. Her veil was still dangling, leaving the lecherous grin that came to her face bare for him to see. “Oh? What are you looking at back there?” she asked, bobbing her butt from side to side.

Link looked up into the sky, trying to appear innocent.

“Up up up,” Zelda said, twisting around. “I saw that little glance.”

Link began to whistle.

Zelda snorted. “Oh, so you can whistle no problem?!” she called.

Both of them were interrupted by the wet gurgle that emanated from Zelda’s tummy. Her hand instantly went to the lower curve, lifting it from beneath her pants.

“Oooh,” she muttered as discomfort swelled. Her stomach felt off, internally tight. She could feel it vibrate as it gurgled. “Maybe I’m hungrier than I thought… I’m not used to being this fat.”

But it was something about how her tummy seemed to flex, the weak muscles in her core reacting in a familiar way.

Even though they were under layers of fat, she could feel something pushing against them… and then pushing forth.

And Zelda remembered the taste of the fruitcake.

“Oh no…” she breathed, her eyes going wide.

Her belly rumbled, though instead of a gurgle she emanated a heavy wet slosh. Zelda felt her stomach filling with the cold refreshing feeling of the water, and with both arms tucked in the waistband of her pants, she felt as her belly began to swell outward.

“Ohhhhhhhh, noooooo,” she whined. She could feel the bloat growing heavier in her tummy, pressing up towards her chest. Her breathing grew labored. “I was just getting to… nooo,” Zelda tried to push herself in. Her belly smushed beneath her hands, the layers of pudge separating her from the flood spreading though her.

Link appeared behind her, holding her waist from each side. She could feel how warm his hands felt against her skin and was quickly aware that even her fingers had begun feeling cold. The strangeness that came with her skin being stretched returned to her and, although not unpleasant, was highly unwelcome.

“Come on!!” Zelda grunted. “It’s water!! What maniac curses water in the desert?!”

She felt a sharp press against her rear as that too was bloated. It rapidly expanded, pressed into Link, and forced him backward as her tummy sagged forward. Her chest bubbled and filled, pushing up toward her chin while her smooth shoulders were rounded. Her hands were pulled up from her tummy and out by her sides, unable to bend her plump arms as the water bubbled through her whole body and filled her out like a balloon.

Zelda had been unable to see her feet before, but now she could feel as her legs fattened outward. Her weight quickly doubled and the soreness in her legs pushed deep down into the sands, burying her up to her calves. Her body spread outward, creating a smoother surface for the weight to rest over.

Zelda struggled, trying to waddle as her legs pulled into her. “L-Link!” she called. “We’re on a slope, don’t let me tip over or I’m gonna fall!”

She felt his fingers dig into the back of her top, pulling her backward as her rear fatted up. She couldn’t even see down past her massive breasts and her stretched desert outfit, but she could see how gentle her skin was and how easily it wobbled as she sloshed.

“This is so much worse,” Zelda bemoaned. “Get me off this hill! I’m gonna roll over!!”

She could feel when her groin reached down to the sand. She’d filled out into a sphere, now waterlogged instead of blown up like a blimp. Every motion pushed the water through her entire system, and she could hear herself gurgle pathetically. Not to mention how much tighter her skin felt now.

She turned from side to side, looking out as her arms were pulled into her body. She flexed her fingers uselessly, feeling they too were now sausages filled out with weighty water. It took her a second to feel that it’d made her face fatter, her cheeks rounded again. Her head didn’t pound, nor splash when she twisted, but her body had evidently increased her fatness to handle the water.

Very slowly, Zelda felt herself pitching forward. She sighed, resigning herself. “Link, just let me go!” she called. “You can’t hold me, and it’s just sand…”

She felt his fingers tighten, unyielding. Zelda groaned as the water sloshed. Her top dug into her chest and she was pulled upward an inch.

“Bliiigh,” she grunted at the odd feeling. She felt so weird and bottom heavy. “At least it’s not floating…” she muttered.

She felt a quick snap on her back.

“Owww!” she hollered as her breasts flopped and pressed into her chin. “Link!! Watch it!”

She could her outfit being pulled from a different spot, then another and she slowly realized that he was shifting his body. She twisted, trying to look over her unbounded roundness, but could hardly see anything past her boobs and her shoulders.

She waggled her hands and kicked her toes, again stuck to those simple actions as she finished filling outward. She could do nothing else than wait for the transformation, besides grumble to herself about “Stupid fairies…”

She could hear the strain of her weight upon him as he came around to her front. His hands gripped her from just over her groin as he rolled her upward, onto her back and up the rise of the hill.

Zelda could do little more than close her eyes and try to help him by leaning, but she wasn’t sure she was even able to do that. Again she felt entirely helpless, stuck in her predicament and only trusting of her knight’s strong hands.

It was that thought that caused Zelda’s eyes to widen in surprise. She looked up towards the sky, felt herself being rolled further backward, and was suddenly intensely aware of where Link’s grip was.

His touch was so warm, his fingers practiced and strong. His grunts of exertion sound troubled, but not exactly distressed. Again, Zelda had become his helpless charge. Almost as if she were bound by the arms, completely helpless.

Something inside of her bubbled at that, and it wasn’t the water. His hands seemed tenser, the grip then seemed wider. It was right over her now, in a very sensitive spot… Zelda’s breath caught in her throat. “O-oh, Link,” she moaned. “Oh Link, help me…”

She felt him respond moving closer to her. He leaned his upper body against her smooth lower, lifting from her bottom and rolling her upward. Zelda focused on that feeling… of being so round and fat, how she filled every inch as he held her in the palm of his hand. She felt her hair touch the ground behind her, felt the water pouring up into her breasts, felt herself gasp in a bright moment of tension…

And then, suddenly, his touch was gone, and Zelda was toppling backward. She felt her head press into the sand and awkwardly into her own sodden shoulders before she came out on the other side. The world whipped around her and she loosed a startled scream before she was again plunged beneath herself.

She spun again and again, backwards and flailing, her great rounded belly rolling as easily as a bowling ball before darkness suddenly came over head.

Zelda’s body slowed and her scream turned into a confused and dizzy yelp as her tummy bade several sensations through her body. The water came to a rest on her back and she had come to a rest upside down. she blinked and sputtered, realizing she saw the ribs of the great skeleton above as her eyes regained focus and felt the blood rush to her face at the sight of the Great Fairy’s fountain when she tilted her head.

Link came rushing through the sands, skidding to a stop right by her face. He looked intensely worried.

Zelda growled darkly. “I’m fine,” she muttered. “Go get her and find out what she did to me!!!”

Link looked from Zelda to the fountain. He cringed.

Zelda puckered her lips. “Just do it!” she ordered.

Link left her and she watched upside down as he went to the fountain. She looked up at her massive boobs, feeling fire bubble inside at the feeling that she had been tricked. Her stretchy outfit was more than good luck…

Oh?” called a voice into the air. “Returned so soon? I thought it would take much longer than that…

Zelda bit her lip to keep from shouting.

The Great Fairy’s petals spread out from her fountain. She lifted herself from the water almost lazily this time, and Zelda now saw the, rather tacky looking, makeup that coated her face, though even she could recognize the upside-down smirk. “Sweet boy,” she pined. “How may I help?

She couldn’t hold it in anymore. “What did you do to me?!” Zelda shouted.

The Fairy raised her hand to her lips, showing her teeth in a malicious looking smile. “I asked my sweet boy,” she said. “Not his sweet munching girl.

Zelda’s blush grew even fiercer, but she had absolutely no concept of how to respond.

I told you before,” she spoke down to Link, “I have been watching your activities all of this time. Nothing escapes my sight, not even greedy fat thieves.

Zelda felt like she was gonna explode. She kicked her feet in rage, but something than completely caught her off guard. She was silenced as she heard, very faintly, a man’s light voice.

What??” the Great Fairy asked. “You apologize now? Dear boy, every Great Fairy knows her Pristine Water’s spell. The water is for bathing and elixirs, not for drinking. I could have warned you, if you’d thought to speak to me instead…” She rose in her pool, looking straight over to Zelda. “You, Darling, are now the same weight as the keeper of this fountain.” Then she broke into a tittering laugh. “Which is a shame for you. I’ve been bad at my diet.

Zelda puckered her lips into a disapproving frown. The idea that she was the weight of a forty-foot woman packed into just over five was highly disquieting. Again, though, she found herself in a lapse for what to say.

But he found the words. She couldn’t hear them, only his voice. There was no hesitation.

Hmmm, so quick to take responsibility,” the large woman noted. “But I do know what you say is true. It wasn’t her idea to come here. That girl wishes she never left those ruins.

Zelda felt her face redden as she fretted, balling her hands into little fat fists. How did that fairy coax the words from her knight so easily? And how dare she? Finally, she found her voice. “That’s not true!!” she shouted.

Oh?” came the response.

“Not at all!” Zelda said, then the heat left her shout. “If I didn’t… If we didn’t come here, then…” she trailed off.

Hmmmmmm,” the Great Fairy mumbled. “I suppose you’re right. I can hardly punish that…

Link’s voice came and Zelda strained to hear, but he was too quiet. It was like it was being held right in front of her face, yet so far from her grasp.

Oh, I know exactly how to cure her. But what will you do for me?
