The Shadow over Blackmore (Patreon)

There will be no post next sunday. Todays post is public and for everyone to see...that means no nudity or anything close to it. The reason is that I want to talk about the new game that I am planning, and I want as much input as I can possibly get.

It was hard to finally decide on what kind of game I want to work on for the next years to come. I have a pretty good feeling about what would be popular in todays adult game market and I still decided to go the complete opposite direction. Because I really want to tell this story. The story of a poor, unlucky guy (You!), who gets hired by a small company in a strange town and uncovers the dark secrets of this town and its people step by step. 

What's new?

The game engine: Ren'Py. The render engine: Daz3d. That means better graphics, hopefully better animations and a stable engine. I have listened to your feedback for past and current games, so a gallery is planned...as well as little to no grind in the game. The story will be a bit more linear compared to Femdom City, but it's hard to explain. You'll see ;).

What's it about?

Ha! I don't want to tell you, yet. If you are a fan of dark fantasy and occult themes like The Ninth Gate, Vampire: The Masquerade, World of Darkness, witchcraft, Lovecraft and so on this is for you. And if not...well, there will still be quite a lot of dominant women in the game :D.

Kinks?

With the new render engine, there are so much more possibilities to create interesting and more detailed scenes. The new setting will allow for some interesting dynamics (chastity for example), but also more intimate relationships. And some rather...cruel stuff as well.

Another thing is that you can set your preferences early in the game. That means this time you won't be bothered by content that you do not want to see. And you always get a hint to what your decision will lead to (You hover over an answer and get a hint to what kind of scene it will lead to. In Femdom City you never really know what the character is up to do with you).

But still: It is a darktoz game ;). And you know me and most of my games by now. Female domination is the main theme. This time you might be able to turn the table on some characters and even some endings will be...unusual, but a whole dom path? Nah. Instead some punishment and imprisonment scenes will be unavoidable.

The protagonist

Is not a faceless POV body even though there will be a bit more POV scenes again compared to femdom city, but he also is not a wimp with just shorts on. I have spend a lot of time on the figure, making it so versatile that anything can happen to him: Getting wet, dirty, injured, transformed...and so much more

Still, I always try to give you the feeling that this is you. Your character, your journey. We will see if I nail it this time.

When can we play it?

I am not sure. It will take time. To be honest the scenes you see above...I have just thrown them together. And I haven't even tested animations properly in Renpy, yet.

I have written the main story, and I have created the engine framework (Inventory is still missing!). Apart from that, everything else is in my head.

I am showing and telling you this not only to let you know that I started working on a new game, but I would like to get your opinion, your input.
