(Hopefully it works this time because I have to repost it first post got weirdly saved into the draft and then I somehow deleted it...don't ask me how, thanks to Sanc I don't have to write everything again)

Man, I can tell you something: Working on renders with a PC that is constantly generating heat while germany feeling the climate change (it is so freakin' hot it's dangerous) is no fun. At all.

Nonetheless, I really did make some ground up this week and managed to render quite a lot of fun scenes. I would say I'm at 50% right now, maybe a bit less...  ...I hope that I can deliver Episode 3 somewhere by the end of july. That is a tough goal, especially with the heat situation, so it might not work out, but I will definitely try :).

Mechanics Question:

I think I had a breakthrough with coding!  ...here is the thing: I think I can import the code script for the new scene mechanics and the character animation in Femdom City MANTIS!

What does that mean?

That does mean (if it works out) that we would now be able to have text/dialogue DURING the animation! Yes, you heard it! Not only that but also picture changes DURING the animation. Like the character suddenly pulling the other characters hair while fucking him/her bareback and dialogue choices and stuff like that!

Plus I am confident that I can get the character talking (opening and closing her mouth...I'm not sure if this is worth it or not, let me know)!

Great! For Captured by Dark Elves as well?

Nope. Still stupid rpg maker engine, still not possible with my method (it is actually possible, if you use the implemented battle engine for it...but since I have used it for...well battle, we cannot use it ;).

Why are you telling us?

Here is the thing: With me being able to get the max out the potential of the scenes in the current VN Engine the future, I was thinking if the minigames and the onmap characters are really worth it? For example, the escaping could just be something like an agility stat check instead of the minigame that you played earlier (check the last post if you haven't).

I mean of course, it is cool, feels good and with flying around in a spaceship to uncover new places and fleeing from pirates, it is more fun. But for me the reason I wanted to go to a new engine and learn coding is because of getting the best out of my scenes.

The visual novel engine allows all the other stuff as well, like  like an Inventory, Experience and Level Ups, Survival Elements and a Skill Tree are possible in the Engine of Femdom City MANTIS. Just these minigames are not possible. . Even though it is my first attempt, Femdom City MANTIS already has things like character improvement and skills (even though very simple). And it already has an inventory...even though the only thing you can put in it is money. But you get what I mean, right?

So the big question is: Are these minigames/onmap exploration worth it? Worth the extra time? The extra money? Because coding these minigames take a lot of extra time and making custom assets a lot of money.  I ask you because I'm really unsure of it right now.  The alternative would be looking like this:

(I just put that together very fast, of course it would be animated with better GUI, but you get the idea...basically like a Femdom City MANTIS scene where you get money).

Let me know, I'm very interested to hear your opinion on this, my friends.

Stay kinky! And stay out of the sun if it is as hot as it is in my town (for real, I was playing football in the EVENING, and I almost collapsed. It is brutal! ;)

Oh, by the way...it is steam summer sale at the moment. If you have some game recommendations for me, please post them below. It should be something with cool game mechanics that you would want to see in a game like Femdom City.

For example: Dead in Vinland that was recommended by failninja on discord. I can definitely see myself trying to do something similar with the food and water mechanic. Plus the simple crafting. Lots of inspiration.
