Update: sorry, not all preview pictures did show up correctly! Fixed it now so that you can see them all :)

I'm back from holiday, yay!

And I've started working on Episode 3 of Captured by Dark Elves again, finally. Right now I'm implementing the last missing dark elf that you didn't encounter on the map so far...

...plus adding and and rendering new scenes. I'm still at an early stage, though, so I keep you updated on the progress, but right now I've just returned and getting back into it.

Before I was on holiday, I wasn't really working on Captured by Dark Elves. I was working on a new project as soon as I decided to pick up a new engine and say goodbye to limiting engines like rpg maker. You decided that you want to know about it right from the start, so here we go:

The future!

In the future, I want to work only on one game at a time. But since I have two very different games at the current moment, one being an rpg adventure and one being an open world raising sim visual novel, I hit my head against the wall to find out a solution to get both in one game. And I think I found a solution! A game where you can decide what you want to do and how to play.

The game setting is the very distant future, and, like always, it is very, very dark. It is fair to say that it is sort of Femdom City in Space.

Instead of throwing scene after scene on you without dialogue and choices like in Femdom City, this time the scenes will be far longer, with different phases and dialogue text + choices during the scene! They will all use my new, indirect lighting method and this time more photoshop postwork (like you see in the pictures).

Of course, this comes with a price. Meaning scenes will be fewer. So instead of working at the underpass as a bootlicker, getting 12 different scenes every time you would get a questline with different long encounters where you have to please 5 different mistresses.

I think it is a good trade to have less scenes but way more impactful. Plus it allows the characters to shine more...and since this is space, we can have any character imaginable in it.

Hello, Space Dark Elf Demon ;)

Hello, unknown species ;)

The game will feature 3 main gameplay styles: Navigating your spaceship, mining asteroids and trying to fight off space pirates and other hostile ships who are trying to capture you.

Navigating your character in rooms (Hotline Miami / Top Down Shooter Style), sneaking past guards and infiltrating space ships, collecting artifacts and data for example.

And on planets and space stations you will navigate just like you know it from Femdom City. Selecting places from a map, talking with characters (now breathing and talking ones, not static) and taking on jobs. I also want to do trading and inventory management (but that is something I haven't figured out yet, and I don't want to make promises).

Depending on your preffered playstyle you can choose what you want to do most and which questline to follow. Maybe fighting in space and action isn't for you...so you want to travel around, whoring yourself out or offer your services as a footslave? It should be possible to play the game the way you want. And right now I am feeling that it is actually possible to pull it off.

So , the question is: Why? Why now when I still have two unfinished games in the making? Valid question.

First, it is hard to go back to RPG Maker and VN Maker after having tasted the power of a real engine. The moment that I started using GMS I knew that it would change everything.

And since I'm already learning coding, why not make it "learning by doing" and actually aim for something big right at the start? I don't see anything wrong with that because the engine isn't static, meaning you can always go back and change things and b) I would otherwise spent the time just learning to code without making something for you people. In the end I still have to improve my gamemaking skills, I'm only doing this for 2 years now, in germany vocational training usually takes 3 ;).

There is also the money question. Luckily, Poser has a lot of top quality dystopian space assets...man, even a futuristic prison station, alien bars and all of that crazy good stuff (like futuristic torture devices you haven't even seen before).

But quality comes with a price, plus this time I have hired an artist to do on map characters for me. And hiring a pixel artist is extremely expensive as well. You are the ones pledging, so you should know where the money currently goes. And since it is that expensive, I have to buy assets over multiple months!

I believe it is going to be great, I will show you that I'm right in about 1-2 weeks with a small tech demo and until then you just have to trust me!

Last but not least, this is for you! Meaning you can get really creative with requests! I've already written a major part of the setting and the story, but trust me, there is room for everything! Endless possibilities (well, almost endless since patreon still has its eye on me but you get what I mean and there is certain stuff I would never do like anything underage. But apart from that...everything!)!

This also means that if I'm not convincing you with it, we will dump this project and I will just continue with cbde and femdom city. If you think the changes like more extended scenes with dialogue or nongrindy actiongameplay are not that major and not worth the additional time, I will leave it be. No problem and no hurt feelings on my side. But if you think this is worth it, a lot of polls will come your way :)

Let me know what you think. You can be very critical about this project, no problem. I understand that and I just had an amazing vacation so I'm in Zen-Mode anyway :)

Stay kinky!
